Which batteries do you recommend for long life not just for usage but even after they have been recharged several times,as most of you who have used skycig before the batteries are useless, thanks and merry Christmas to you all.

Basically the bigger the better. A battery that is the same size as the skycig probably won't last a whole lot longer. Something that takes an 18650 - like a Vamo or Lavatube - is cheaper in the long run

True, a big battery lasts the longest and if the battery and electronics aren't in one piece you have a chance of outlasting the batteries. But most people move from the skycig type to egos and clearos. They come in many sizes and you can even get ones that you can alter the voltage. They are also cheap and a lot cheaper in the long run than cigalikes like skycig.

Dowden,
The big batts have lifespan of 300 - 10,000 charges (allegedly).
I've been using my first eGo 1,000 mAh for about 20 months. The 2nd eGo died after 15 months. Both were charged & used daily.
I've got big mods but still enjoy my eGo.

The big batts have lifespan of 300 - 10,000 charges (allegedly). As I understand it that is full charges - at least the 300 is. I haven't seen 10,000 and would have trouble believing it. So if your 1000mah battery is still half full when you charge it each day, I'd expect it to last 20 months or more. Of course the 300 is just an average, and you might simply be lucky.

Giles I fully discharge my batts before fully recharging them. The 10,000 recharge claim was for AW IMR 18650s on Ledfire Torches site. I'm more than satisfied with the lifespan of my eGo batts, even the dead 'un. Good life for modest outlay IMO Just a trifle irked at the timing of the copper batt. After several months searching I'd tracked down quite possibly the last 11 copper eGo-T atties & the batt went to Joyetech heaven a couple of days after thet were delivered

batteryuniversity.comgood info there the higher the mah generally the longer the battery lasts, as long as the battery is actually capable of that amount.

Don't worry about it mate--just go for a battery with a higher Mah and they will last longer.Think of it as a petrol tank in a car the bigger the tank the longer the car will run before needing filling.

I've just ordered the kit above that karma posted a link too, should arrive tomorrow it's worth getting now because of how cheap it is. If you got it all seperately batts, clearos etc would probably come to about £25
