Hi,I started vaping Sunday recommended by a new user.I smoke 20- 30 cigs a day,Sunday i had 7,Mon 6,Tues 5,i cant stop the cigs straight away but im trying my best.Do you get the same amount of nicotine from an e-cig as you do from a norm ciggie also how often should i be vaping as i seem to be doing it alot,using one cart a day!Also will i see the benefits of better breathing and feeling better?Sorry lots of questions but want to make sure im doing this right,as i say my friend recommended the e-cig and its the best thing she could of done for me.

Hi Poppy,i am not very experienced at vaping myself but i can tell you 1 cart a day is not very much at all.If you stay on that you are doing fantastic in my opinion.Maybe you need a bit more to get rid of the other ciggies but,a more experienced member will be along soon to give you better info.

Firstly, well done Poppy! Don't beat yourself up about the ciggies you're smoking . . . just look at all the ones you're not.

The body doesn't absorb nicotine from an ecig in the same way as it does a normal ciggie, a percentage of the nicotine is also lost in the vapour, so don't worry if you appear to be vaping more than you would smoke, in order to feel the same 'hit'.

One cart a day is absolutely nothing, barely equal to a couple of ciggies - despite the misleading bumph that is put out by some ecig Suppliers.

Id happily up your ejuice consumption, you may well find that helps to lessen the craving for an ordinary ciggie as well.

And yes, you will of course feel very much better as in effect you will become a non smoker.

You can re-use the carts almost ad infinitum, Poppy As long as you don't chew them like I do

Also, when the stuffing gets brownish you can rinse it under the tap (even put it in Fairy, then rinse well) and pat it dry, nearly good as new

As Scylla says, you can keep re-using the carts. Plus whenever you buy a new atomiser it comes with a completely empty/blank cart attached. You can fill it with blue foam (James usually has that in stock) or Fluval/coffee filters or even some tea bags So you don't really need to buy any more cartridges

hello poppy with regards to how quickly you will realise the benefits of vaping- how long were you smoking for? it would be an amazing thing if the ill-effects of smoking could be banished in a day, but smoking does cause long term problems as everyone knows.

i didn't feel immediate positive results but did start feeling better after about a fortnight..and now almost six months later, i do actually notice an improvement. i can do five flights of stairs better than i could have ever imagined! xx

hello beeper,i have been smoking for 27 years,yesterday i was so pleased i only had 3 cigs,i am getting through 2 carts a day which i thought was alot but thanks to all of your help im not feeling guilty.I do get very breathless and wheezy through smoking so im hoping in time i will feel a bit better.

Rest assured 2 carts a day barely registers on the vaping scale . . . the average vaper uses 3-5ml of eliquid in a day.
