I think alot of people carry the fungus, & provided your in normal health it doesn't became apparant, but anything that affects your immune system & the natural balance of your body. . . stress, illness or often antibiotics can cause it to get a hold.

Thrush is not nice & it's common if you've been on certain antibiotics. Wouldn't have thought vaping would cause it. Get some Nystatin suspension, not sure if it's now an over the counter med, but if you get that, it will clear it up in no time.

I had thrush last year when they tried me on inhalers for copd and the stuff they gave me was great and l have found a tiny bit left in the cupboard so hoping it will be enough to get me through till monday and l can get more of gp.

dont need 'pill' and don't share vape, but am open to any idea's

i wonder ?? i am on Immune Supresents have been for 6 years as my immune system is attacking my eyes.
basically l am falling apart which l don't mind to much but it's when it flipping hurts so much that l get hacked off with it all and to think i'm only 52 not that old am l????

Thanks Chrissy and all of you for the fast response, at the mo l am fighting 3 different consultants and because l have been on steroids for the past 6 yrs!! l have weakened bone density which is now causing problems for my mobility but they dont seem to think its that important that l can barely walk and when l do l am in agony but its not urgent > so l have to wait another 4 weeks to find out what has gone wrong and if they can treat it. but they have put me on D3 calcium tablets that you chew and l wondered if that was the cause of this thrush but according to the chemist it isn't and everything else l have been on for over a year at least so l know its not that, so as a shot in the dark l thought of the vape and hoped you would all say no one had ever had thrush from it so thanks for backing me on that l wonder if l am just so down with everything that is going on or rather not going on that this is a reaction to the pain iv been in since june and its showing it this way? any thoughts on this would be appreciated as the way things are going xmas is cancelled in this house this year due to me being to ill to move!!!!

Your chemist i correct taking calcium chews wouldn't cause thrush are you asthmatic by any chance

Ripple, I'm on those chewable Calcium & vit D tablets as well as Alendronic Acid tablets for osteoporosis & neither have caused any thrush.

i don't have asthma l have lung disease and its calcium d3 iv started which you have to chew which made me wonder if that was the cause but chemist rekons not

Chances are if you've had it once it's in your system & has just gone went dormant, don't think there's any relible way to check if it's gone or just hiding

Also they reckon that anyone who has dentures will have it, but again unless there's some significant change it wont show.

If you immune system is down and your still taking steroids orally then maybe this is how you've taking thrush have you explained that to the chemist maybe best to see your doctor

Ripple, I really think this has happened as you are so run down

The other thought I had was, if you are on pain killers that cause a dry mouth that could be a contributing factor to the thrush taking hold?
