Blummin heck Chrissie, sounds horrid We've had a couple of milder dryish days this weekend and last week was mainly dry but temperatures didn't really get above freezing I'm just pleased that we don't have loads of the white stuff

Finally stopped raining here today, but I took Dawa to the woods today and the ground is truly saturated, in fact there had been a large landslip on the main path we take, the ground really can't take any more rain

It's been a bit drier here over the past few days, but we had more rain today. As we're less than 100 yards from the Thames, I was pleased to see this afternoon that the level of the river has dropped by well over a metre from where it was a week ago. We were on flood alert until then. Much as I'd like a new kitchen, I'd prefer to hang on a bit.

My cottage isn't low lying so hopefully I'll be OK - apart from run off from the fields behind me. Just can imagine though how worried others in lower lying areas must be feeling

Yep, I can confirm that Yorkshire is a bit soggy today! Seems to have stopped for now. At least it's warmer. We had freezing fog on Friday and I went flying on the way out of the house.
