Hi Davey,I am new to this too and am about 10 days ahead of you, you did well not to have any fags the first day, I had about 3 on day 1 then got it down to 0 over 3 days, What I have found to get a good drag is to take a few draws into your mouth to "stoke" it up a bit then inhale, as it is slightly different to drawing on a fag but so much more enjoyable

Hi hgvroy.... Yes it's all very exciting I agree with you.....Not had a fag at all today yet either but today will be a big test for me as I'm off to the match shortly and we always meet in the pub for a few pre-match bevvies and we always stand in the beer garden amongst the smokers so I'm taking my ego out with me so fingers crossed I'll get through that tricky stage ok.... Today I'm on strawberry menthol from paradise-vape and I have to say I'm loving it...... On another note I think one of my batteries is goosed already , the one I had been using all day christmas day finally went dead just before bedtime last night so I put it on mains charge through the night and this morning I can't get any light red or blue or flashing on it at all no matter how many times I click it ?? The little usb light on the charger was red when I put it on charge and was still red when I got up is this normal ? Is the battery supposed to be turned on or off or does it not matter at all when you plug it into mains ? Hope I can get it working as I would hate my other "working" battery to go down the same road after only one day...

Sounds like the centre pin in your battery will need lifting a little Davey, common fault arrived at by tightening devices onto the battery too tight, use a small flat screwdriver to lift the centre pin on your battery slightly (doesnt need much), I use a qtip to keep inside there clean too.

Also make sure you clean any excess juice from the battery connections

Hi and welcome I took about a month to get from smoking 20 a day to cutting them out completely - and that was with one of those silly little cig-a-like kits, so you've already got an advantage by having some decent kit. What worked for me - and it might not be for everyone - was NOT setting a definitive date. It just adds extra pressure. I started by using the e-cig alternately with cigs and gradually made the changeover. I'm almost at 4 months smoke free You'll pretty soon work out if you can do it straightaway or if you need some time to changeover, either way you'll get there, just try not to put too much pressure on yourself. I just wish I'd discovered this place sooner - I'd tried every way there is of quitting at least once with no luck, but this has been so easy I'm still pinching myself Best of luck to you Could not agree more.

Well almost the end of day two and no lapses so no fags smoked even when out at the pub before the match today...Really pleased with my e-cig so far just gutted that one of the batteries appears to be broken already after only one day of use.....I've tried moving the centre pin as described but it has made no difference , there is just no lights on re or blue no matter how many times I click it....Looks like I'm gonna have to order a new battery from somewhere already.... >

You can never have enough spares , so I would advise you have a good look around the different sites and see if you can pick up some spare batteries or if you are confident that you are going to get on with vaping consider a bigger battery mod

Please do get in touch with the vendor Davey, these batteries should last for around 300 charges if looked after. Do make sure you keep the battery and charger connectors clean and remember the tip about raising the centre pin. sounds like you're really doing well but you are going to need another battery quickly to use when your charging your remaining one. there are many good vendors here, with discount codes allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=suppliers&thread=2&page=1#2my go to vendor when needing thing quickly are these guys and I'm pretty sure they're shipping tomorrow when the post office opens www.vapeescape.co.uk/full contact details are on the web site, so you can phone to make sure that they can ship you a battery tomorrow

Davey, just out of interest, did you stand outside the pub to vape with all of the smokers or did you vape inside?

A very late welcome, sorry. :-[ Well done on your start & getting through a few beers with your smoking mates with just vaping. #icon_bravo# Hope your order arrives very quickly, so that you have another working battery.

Well the problem I have had with the first battery has happened to my second battery as well , I'm gutted to say the very least and totally stumped as this is all new to me and maybe I am doing something wrong but I wouldn't have thought so....The charger I have with the kit is a little black plug that plugs into the mains with a usb slot on it and a tiny black usb plug with the ego thread on the end......When I plug it in the little green light comes on which I believe is supposed to then next once I screw in my battery the light on the charger turns red ? After leaving the battery screwed in for well over 12 hours the light still remains solid red ? So then when I unscrew my battery there is no red or blue light coming from it no matter how many times I click it ? Even when it's actually screwed in and on charge I would have thought the battery itself would show some some sign of life ? So any ideas anybody ? Is the charger not working or are the batteries themselves broken ? Surely not though I've only had the kit for a few days and I'm gutted to say the least or am I doing something that's blatantly obviously simply wrong ? I'm at a dead end as to what to do , can't even get in touch with vendor as they're on a break for the holidays.....
