I'm waiting for Post Modern to get his VG nicotine base in. His comes in glass bottles so it'll save the need for decanting . . . and I tend to buy 54mg, so I'm looking forward to placing my first order with him. You can't beat Post Modern for long term storage, I ordered 5 bottles last week. Perfect sized glass bottles put straight into the freezer. I'll let you know how it tastes in mixes in two years time, watch this space. I will defiantely be getting more nic from Post Modern

If I am making 50ml of 24mg e-juice, I will be using about 20ml of nic base for each mix.
Now a 50ml mix will last me a heck of a long time and I will be making up several 50ml lots at a time.
If I am freezing my concentrate nic base and only taking it out when I am going to be using it, storing it in anything over 100ml glass bottles would mean me having to take it out, thaw out the contents, using some of it and then refreezing the remainder.
So even using all of the 100ml bottle for each mixing session will mean making 5 X 50ml bottles and that would last me two and a half months.
So if you are thinking about freezer storing your nic base, think about how much you will use each time you do a mix and how often you intend to make up e-juice.

But, if you freeze it in 100ml bottles immediately. Then when you come to use it you can defrost the whole 100ml and put any you don't use that mixing session somewhere cool and dark until you need it again, which will probably be within 2 years

I do not know all the chemicals that make up nic base but I would imagine that at least some of the mixture would seperate during freezing but honestly, I don't know. I would certainly thaw it out completely, like overnight, then give it a good few shakes to thoroughly mix it before I used it.

Hi Dave, Letting it come to room temperature first apparently results in less water absorption from the air when opening the bottle. So in an ideal world, that's what an ECF professional chemist recommended.

I am looking on planning ahead and am thinking about buying 500ML or 75MG nic base from Nic Vape, is it likely to get stopped at customs and me being charged duty?
thanks

Rich at Nic Vape, when he makes up the customs label, although he marks on it what it is, the price he puts on that label is well under the price that would interest the customs people. It "should" come through without any problems.
