I am looking on planning ahead and am thinking about buying 500ML or 75MG nic base from Nic Vape, is it likely to get stopped at customs and me being charged duty? thanks Meeee Nope. Rich at Nic Vape, when he makes up the customs label, although he marks on it what it is, the price he puts on that label is well under the price that would interest the customs people. It "should" come through without any problems. Cheers Lobey thanks for the info

Although I am at present buying and freezing a stock of Nic Base from the US of A, once I have a sufficiant amount of the high mg base, I will then revert back to the lower (54mg) nic base sold by British firms as I feel that these firms should be supported by British Vapers.
Had I been able to get the high base in the UK, I would have bought from them, but with the impending uncertainty with the EU, I felt it prudent to lay in an emergency supply quickly.

I was going to go with the 75mg rather than the 54mg mainly to limit the space required in the freezer, I need room left for frozen pizza's

Mind you, you will probably slim quite a bit in the process.

I am seriously thinking of starting to mix my own, I'm going to have to buy a separate freezer though that I can lock in the garage due to the fostering. There's no way I could risk having nicotine liquid in the kitchen freezer.
Any idea where I can pick up a small table top freezer cheaply?

Thanks Storm, I've had a look at the cheaper small freezers in Argos and most of them state not suitable for use in garages, they need an ambient temperature for some reason! ???

Yon Argos one is a Fridge with only a small freezer compartment.
Nic Base can be stored for up to two years in a cool dark environment and possibly would last a lot longer, so a locked cupboard in the garage would also do unless you intend to get 10 or 20 years worth.

Has anyone considered pure nicotine? Correct me if I am wrong but I believe 99.9% pure nicotine equates to 999mg .

See Postmodern's post here: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=mixology&thread=17042&page=1#325677Nicotine on it's own (i.e. 100% or 1000mg/ml!) is extremely dangerous to handle without the appropriate training, facilities and protective clothing. At 75mg/ml (7.5%) and above nicotine also falls under the control provisions of the 1972 Poisons Act. That is why, for vaping use, it is sold already diluted in PG/VG and at concentrations below the legal threshold (as well as being safer to handle).

I know you have to be careful with it, but it is not beyond anyone with a bit of common sense and loads of rubber gloves Let's just say for interest sake that you bought 99% pure Nicotine. What on earth would you do with it? Where would you buy it? How would you be sure that it was suitable for Vaping?

What on earth would you do with it? Where would you buy it? How would you be sure that it was suitable for Vaping? It`s full strength nicotine, it`s a totally different formula for mixing obviously. Nicotine is nicotine is nicotine, it`s just the strength of this stuff that needs total care when making your mix. But it isnt rocket science.
