I got the SS vamo from Jason just before Christmas - has chrome buttons, decent spring, remembers watts setting after battery change and as far as I can tell no problems at 6W Edit: hehe crossed posts. I'm sure you'll love it

The V2 have metal buttons and the upgraded spring - not sure about the 6W Bug, but we'll test a few here to find out.
But, theres plenty of people with them, so we'll soon know.
It's probably not that obvious in that very few people will try it at 6W.
I'll test some myself and report back.

I'll get right on testing my vapeescape ones when I get home from work. Not had a problem yet except for the ohm meter is out on one.

Mine was ordered from VE mid December, didn't get to use it until Xmas Day though > Mrs corners was being mean. I exchanged a few e-mails with Jason around 1st Jan and he said the ones he tested had the 6W bug. Thats why I said I expected the current stock to have the bug as well. Jason did offer to refund, which I declined as apart from the 6W bug and replacing the spring for a better one I'm well happy with the Vamo, big improvement overf the Ego-t's I was using.

Right, 3 vamos from vapeescape and all performing as they should at 6w, using a 2ohm coil they all put out 3.4v @ 6w which is very slightly under what they should be reading because 3.4v through 2 ohms should draw about 5.8w in power. At 8w they draw 3.9v when they should draw 4v but that could be down to a coil being not exactly 2ohms. The only problem I have is that one of them is slightly out on its ohm meter reading but performs exactly the same as the others at the same wattage setting ??? They are all V2 with the metal buttons and insulators, they remember wattage settings but not voltage settings. The ones that have the 6w bug, can you confirm that you are using RMS and not MEAN? That may well account for discrepancies

Yes on RMS ( No 2 ).
What are you using to measure voltage? I haven't done any measurements yet, will be getting the scope out at some point to see exactly what is going on, but the bug appears as a pulsing when dry burning. At 5.5W I get a steady glow at 6.5W I get a steady glow at 6W there is a big regular pulse.

Well, I've tested about 30 randomly and no issues, so not sure whether you have a rogue or what Corners.
The ones I referred to when we discussed it by email were the demo units we are using in the office, so it doesn't appear to be a problem with any of the sale units.
Just send it back and we'll get it swapped over for you.

See what your scope says
