I have a V1 & a V2 and they both work fine, I have it set at 8W which works great for me.

Yop 6W, I go between 4.5 and 6.5 with most of the stuff I used so far.
EDIT: Sorry, my Typo. 6W is what I meant.

Cheers Blakey. I read elsewhere that the MK2 has some etching on the back of the body of a circle with a tick in it and the "CE" stamp. Mime hasn't got that but a friends has so I might be a Lucky MK1 owner. As long as it works I am happy. same as above, had mine a month now, ive put a bigger spring in it cuz i didn't like the rattle, its a great bit of kit i use this most of the day , loving it, My fave watt setting is about 7.5-8.0

when ya go from vw to vv is it normal for it to reset to the lowest mark and vice versa ??? Yes, it certainly does that on my v1.2 ??? I would imagine it's the same on V2's, it's the sensible way to do it.

Just checked my SS Vamo, it's definitely a V2 (proper spring, metal buttons, etching on the back etc.) but can't see any insulation ring. I'm assuming it fits on the inside of the battery cap around the vent hole.
Can anyone tell me what it's supposed to be for and anywhere I can get something suitable to put in its place?

I'm not that fussed as I didn't know there was a v2 anyway and it's working just fine (newbie) but I would like to think its genuine. Would I be correct in thinking that? (No etching on the back)

It's not on the end cap. It's in the body tube, take the cell out and peer inside, it looks like a washer, probably red. Some cells were shorting at the +ve connection.

I don't know if these etchings are a definite guide to which version you have. They may be useful in attracting people though: Would you like to come and see my etchings?

Thanks, just checked and yes I've got that washer. Confused me as I've seen pics of the battery caps that seem to have a raised bit on the inside (no not the spring lol) around the vent hole. I'll carry on loving the Vamo again

There is a slight design change between the chrome VAMO and the SS Vamo..
In the chrome Vamo the insulating ring is on the circuit holder tube in a recess..In the SS Vamo the insulating ring is in the 18350 tube, so when you pull it off the whole circuit board is exposed..

Just a bit of re-assurance for anyone who bought from Vaporbreak, he only ever sold V2 Vamos, never sold V1`s. Always check that you are in RMS mode (NO2), and best used on variable wattage mode. That way, whatever atomizer you put on it should always give you roughly the same vape as it will adjust for different atomizer resistance values. If you are getting any burn after changing atomizers, just back it off a half watt at a time till it stops. It`s generally a sign of a poor wicking performance atomizer.
