Ditto to "I have now written to all 6 Scottish MEPs, my MSP and MP!"
But mine are all still on their Christmas Break!
Never mind, it will be on their desks waiting for them when they get back tomorrow.

I've written to my MP already and 7 of my 8 MEP's today thanks to Karma's helpful link on the other thread. Would it be worth posting it in this thread too Karma?

I think it's on the 1st page of this thread, I just thought it would be easier to find with a thread of it's own, but no harm in posting it again www.writetothem.com/

Just in case it has not already been mentioned, on the EU's website, they said that they had discounted the large number of objections to the the tobacco amendments as they seemed to be identikit communications. Recommend we each tell our own stories, and request an indication of how they intend to represent us with regards electronic cigarettes.

I basically kept mine short and sweet, concentrated on 2 main points. Tobacco would still be legal and it is known to kill and that I don't think e-cigs should come under the tobacco directive at all as they are not tobacco products! and I just told my own personal success story and said I was worried about being forced back to smoking!

I want to do this but I don't know where to start, and all the helpful information posted by the likes of hifi and karma is all spread out. Perhaps we could have one guide thread for finding and writing to our representatives, including karma's link, Hifi's list of points to raise/mention... I'm not talking about a template letter, just a guide to doing this, all in one place.... please.
I'm worried about missing something I should write, or writing something I shouldn't.

I hear what you're saying Alvo, personally though, I think the most important thing is to get your own personal story told! this may give some further pointers www.clivebates.com/?p=739

Response from a local councillor who is interested to know more
Quote from his email " I will certainly support the stand to keep E-Cigs if they can be a successful alternative to normal cigarettes I just need some facts on the reduced nicotine intake to see if there is a positive reduction. Can you guide me to where I will find the facts."
Gave him link to ECCA and also ECITA
Also got a response from an MEP assistant to say my MEP will be in touch
