Hi firstly can i say what a great site. So now down to business. After a failed experiment over 12 months ago with an E-cig (wisekick) ....which frankly even the strong cartomisers were like sucking fresh air... I have decided to give it another shot. I tried a friends Skycig and was shocked at the difference between my wisekick. But i have read lots about Skycig battery life, reliabilty and customer support..or lack of. Im a fairly heavy roll up smoker and really dont know where to start. Im possibly looking at the "Viva La Riva 1100 kit." But i'm open to other suggestions. And yes i do appreciate that its all subjective. I'm definitely looking at refilling and i work 12 hour shifts so battery life is important. So.... Is the 1100 a good choice. Are there any spares/accessories that i may need (apart from e-liquid obviously) bearing in mind i'm looking to refill and want to purchase everything i need to last a couple of months? Thanks in advance.

Hello & welcome Davey A Riva or ego kit will be a far better choice than a Skycig. Depending were you buy the kit from, it will come with either/or cartomisers or clearomisers. Both are semi disposable, though they can be refilled several times, you will need more than what you get with the kit to tide you over for a couple of months.

Hi Davey, and welcome from another newbie I've been vaping for about a week now. I didn't know whether to get the Riva kit or an Ego kit: ended up with the Ego, but I'm sure the Riva will be just as good. I second Chrissie's suggestion: you should get some extra cartomisers and/or clearomisers. My top tip: get a spare charger too. Mine is a bit dodgy and I've just bought another. Enjoy!

Welcome Davey. I started down the vaping trail with the Skycig Kit. I used this for the first month and during that time I went from smoking 40+ king sized fags to 100% vaping only. However, while I found vaping a good alternative to smoking, and much cheaper, I felt that there had to be more in the way of flavour and nicotine strength or I would not stay vaping for long. Almost by accident, I came across Vape Escape and from them I purchased a Vision 1000 kit. www.vapeescape.co.uk/vape-escape-vision-1000-ultimate~397I still have that kit today, 6 months down the line and it is still my everyday out and about PV. I did buy a 3rd battery so that I always have 1 in use, 1 fully charged spare and 1 on charge. Since investing in that kit I have gone on to buy other units and I have also got into mixing my own e-juices, but the Vision 1000 is the foundation of my vaping and everything else I have will fit onto this kit if needs be.

Wow thanks all for the quick replies. Will research the ego kits too. Having just had a quick look are all of the Ego kits equally as good or is there a particular model to be recommended, or indeed are they more or less the same kit but with different accessories?
Thank you lobeydosser will look at the vape escape too.

Davey, if you are looking at different eg0/Riva kits, one thing to look to compare them with is the MAh of the battery - the higher the mAh, the longer the battery will last between recharges.

Thanks all.. I think i'm gonna go with the Riva 1100. Having looked at other review sites I haven't seen a review of either giving less than 5 stars. The riva kit does however seem to be selling for £35, while the Ego seems to be £50-£60.So the way I see it... more money for vapour.

Vape Escape Vision 900... This looks good too. Also are all the clearomisers so easy to fill? I just watch a youtube video link for the Vision 900. I really need to stop looking lol.
