Hi all, I've always had a thing about sugary drinks, on an average day I would drink at least a litre and a half to two litres of full fat coke, but now something strange has happened, it was only yesterday that I realised that in the two weeks I've been off the tabs and vaping I've literally only had 3 cans of pop, I hadn't even noticed. It was always something I meant to cut down on but never did ( just like the cigs!) Anything like this happened to anyone else? I'd be intrigued to find out. Oh and I'm also loving breathing through my nose at night!
Chris.

hi Chris, I've never been a fan of sugary or sweet things but since i started vaping (10 days now) seem to have a sweet taste in my mouth most of the time. Think it may be the VG, just wonder about calorific content? anyone out there put any weight on through vaping?

I used to get through half a pack of biscuits most days but since I have been vaping, I rarely eat sweet things now. My e-juices are all sweet desert types and I find that I no longer crave sweet things to eat. I have lost about a stone since last August not that I was a big person anyway but I am down to 10st. 12. We have just come back from India where in the past my wife and I would go to a coffee shop twice a day and my wife would always have a cake with her coffee but this year I took some zero nic Pixiejuice strawberry doughnut for my wife to puff on at the coffee shop and she never once had a cake. I will add that my wife has never smoked in her life but she found that she did not need a cake or sugar in her coffee. Since we have been back, she has not vaped, it was just a little fun whilst we were on holiday. It was quite strange seeing her puff on an e-cig

just done some scouting about on the net, VG used in body builder supplements and loads of cosmetics too used as replacement for sugar, quote from one of the sites i came across "Vegetable glycerin is purely derived from plants. Glycerin is an organic compound which is composed of three carbon atoms, hydrogen atoms and also the OH group. The OH group binds with water making vegetable glycerin syrupy in texture. Vegetable glycerin used in the manufacture of food stuffs are 99.7% pure and has a sweet taste. Even with the sweet taste, it does not directly affect blood sugar levels and it will not cause tooth decay like regular sugar does." SO: vape, lose weight, no staining or rotting of teeth and gain muscle quicker if doing a little more exercise, i blame my wife, she set me off on this vaping lark and now reckons i'm an old fart getting obsessed as scouring for info and "joining Forums!"

When I was smoking I always had a cup of something going, seemed to need a drink to keep my mouth clean tasting. Even when driving I used to get through an awful lot of garage capuccino, cost me a fortune lol. With the ciggies and the coffee I must have been getting through £10 or £11 a day. I got through about 15 or 16 cups of tea or coffee every day, so we are talking about over 30 spoonfuls of sugar as well. Since I started vaping it is probably less than half that amount of drinks and getting less, I even end up with a lot of half cups of tea stone cold lol. I really do love my tea as well.

I hadn't been drinking sugary Coke or any sugary drinks for a couple of years, preferring the diet versions (diabetes), but when I started vaping I noticed my consumption of even those had plummeted. I don't bother with them at all now, just occasionally buying one here and there as whimsy takes me. Can't say I miss them much, either - look up 'false calories' and be surprised how the body is fooled by diet drinks and the negative side-effects.

Coffee.
I was always a massive coffee drinker.. always had a cup on hand and if it wasn't hot I would make another... I was a chain-coffee-drinker I suppose. It is virtually all I drank, especially if it was cold/not summer.
I started vaping and noticed that despite my normal coffee mug friend I needed something extra as I was still thirsty, I suppose like they do in italy where you get a glass of water with your coffee. This would prove tricky to carry around though since I have a mug in one hand all the time anyway... I would now need one hand for mug and one hand for water....
I thought, although I never drunk it before, drinking tea would be the best option, it worked a treat and I have done so ever since (about 2 years).
A bit long winded but there you have it.
