Ooooo.! just had a quick look at the nest. I think Biggie will soon fly. He's been stretching his wings and jumping up and down. He even jumped on one of the others who were still sleeping. I came in to take a screenshot of my problems, but can't take my eyes off of the nest. Thanks for info ^^^^^^^^ (flashplayer) Scyll. I will have a lookie!! MM

It's very strange in the nest. Biggie is still flapping around with his great wings. Middely is either squashing Littlie or protecting him/her - still over Littlie. Unless that's Mama? Wish I could control the camera. Can't see Biggie now just the shadow of wings flapping. Then it all crashed on me!!! MM

It's working OK now, but they did have a notice up for a few days more-or-less saying "don't complain about the cam, it's the best we can do cos the other one's borked". Poor birdies are looking nasty and oily because it's raining. EJ spent a long time piping for Odin a bit earlier but he didn't turn up. One of the mums in Rutland has lost her partner, the "carers" are feeding her fish whilst she's sitting with no mate to do so The peregrine chicks are indistinct balls of white fluff whenever I check on them Did you see my post above about Flash? If you download that file (save to desktop if you don't have anywhere regular to put it), then close your browser and all other progs, then double-click on it on desktop and run it, that should do it. scylla x

OMG - osprey chick hatched. Gorgeous. How wonderful has that mum been - sitting there, looking totally bored (as you would be), and now babies!!!!

Is there a second osprey chick yet? I can't find messages after the 20th - plus the sound has gone again Sometimes EJ pipes for ages, sounding quite forlorn 'n desperate Went off the do a screen shot - not happening. I haven't used it for a while so forgotten how to do it!! There's a key in the top right corner area of the keyboard: PrtSc SysRqHit it Open your photo program (I use Irfanview, free) and click Edit in the Menus and then Paste in the drop-down box. Then File in the Menus and Save as... in the drop-down box. Then you can do an attachment here or upload to Photobucket and paste the link here (but you'll need to resize to 800x600 or less first). You were saying about wishing you could control the camera - I keep tipping up my lappy trying to see the eggs & chick under EJ scylla xxx

0632hr Odin flew in with a fish. EJ jumped up, starving! But she only had a couple of bites before she started sharing with the chick - just the one still. The little chick looks so eager, very sweet There have been strange sounds, besides the ones of chewing on the mike cables - like birds fighting, and one like a small woodpecker hammering in 3 bursts, very frustrating not knowing what they are. And all the time the lovely birdsong, on and on for a couple of hours now, I should think. The bloggers know what that is, I've forgotten. scylla

Since the osprey cam revived it is wide-screen and even smaller than it used to be, when not on full screen. Someone on the blog comments has posted this link saying it's better, and it is - may take a minute or so to load: www.carnyx.tv/CarnyxWild/WildlifeCameras/Scotland.aspxI wonder if MM might be able to see this one? But I fear the technology may be the same scylla x

Nope couldn't get in there. This one asked me to Install Silverlight - which I did - all going well - but then it wanted Company name, position etc. Which I couldn't supply, so wouldn't let me register!!! Scyll, I haven't been around much to fiddle with the other things you suggested - AGMs and things, end of season etc. Hoping this week will be a bit clearer. That was a lovely clip of the feeding session Scyll, they are so tinsy!! MM

I think this is another feeding clip, a bit after 10am, it's even better. I tried to screenshot it at the time but it doesn't come out nearly as clear. You do NOT have to register to view via that link, MM I went thru exactly the same as you, it seems to be for businesses only ??? But never mind, you can still watch the video. Oops, here's the 10.00am feeding link scylla xxxxxxxxxx
