Thanks for the vids Scylla. I do manage to pop in at least once a day/evening.
We've been completely rained off today, although I did go to the Pantiles to make sure everything is still standing!! We've hardly had one day completely free of rain - thus lack of buyers. I think this will be the worst show for a long time - weatherwise.
The Eagles look extremely precarious on that branch!!...... MM

I was having a nap, MM - got woken up by dreaming the door buzzer Here they are a couple of minutes ago: Here is the promised video of the long-awaited fish delivery. It's not too long. In the end there wasn't much for EJ and the chicks didn't seem to be sated. I'm told that I shall be gobsmacked when I see the fish that EJ brings in when she gets going - her being bigger and a better fisher than Odin.

This is a must-see fish delivery (you don't need to watch it to the end, sometimes I misjudge how much to chop off). It's a silent movie cos I was testing out free recording software I directed it myself scylla

Well done and thank you all the clever video people. Those babies are so huge now - almost as big as mum. And the eagles, surely fledging any day now? My patio blackbird 'family' are now visiting. It is hilarious. The 3 babies fly down with mum, then shout at her while she feeds them. They are standing on the fruit, seeds, and chopped nuts - but still relying upon her to pick it up and give it to them. Their squawking drives me to distraction, so I have no idea how mum tolerates them. A slap with a fish is definitely in order! MM - sorry to hear that you have been rained out. It's been like that here. I have been trying to get some potting/gardening/planting done, and the skies keep opening! >

One of the eagle juvies appears to have left the others. It was nowhere to be seen earlier today - a parent stayed on the branch with the other two for ages. Suddenly the third baby flew down to join the others so has obviously decided to be King of the Castle and perch much higher in the tree. It's missing again as I type. Fox

This is the view I just got - I've narrowed it down for dramatic effect, but there was only one boid in the tree: This is charming (if I say so myself ) - "Storm Playing Ball"

The third juvie seems to be perching higher up in the tree, out of camera range. All three were down for a very short while last night. Occasionally I can hear the third one calling and the others look up. I shall quite miss them when they fledge, although perhaps I shall get some dusting done!

Hi Scyll, watched the 'fish delivery' vid. Once again one seems to get twice as much as the other. Lovely vid though Scyll. Thank you. MM xx

All three eaglets are there now - one is almost hidden at the far end of the branch :

Do have a look at the younger osspring, Storm, playing with a ball. I don't know if it should be surprising but I found it so. Was really tickled to notice in time to record it.
