Is that Orange/EE connection issue a personal or regional thing ? I pay for 3 bloody contracts so a month off would be dandy

personal. he's come out and changed the box in the house now with new wires. we upgraded to fibre optic but were losing connection 3 times a week at least sice 23rd december. last time i rang them i asked for my MAC code. the tech help overin bangladesh wanted me to plug this in that and that in this. told them to get it sorted otherwise i would cancel payments and nothing would stand up in court their end.
spoke to a lovely lady in UK and she sorted it for me plus waived the payment. also mentioned i had over 100 notes on my account about connection issues.
hopefully, fingers and toes crossed, its all sorted now ...

so topic related..... i've just ordered another SS vamo

I didnt really need to strip the chrome off it, although it did look good in copper. Unfortunately I didnt realise how thin the copper plate was and went through to the brass in places. I got a bag of 10 22mm olives for brass plumbing compression fittings from B and Q and they are actually soldered on (the copper plate probably helped with the soldering)so that they just hide the joins on the Vamo. The olives are very slightly bigger than the Vamo tube so there are no issues changing/removing tubes etc The brass olive on the bottom is soldered on to the end cap as well. When I do the top cap I am just going to solder another olive on there and take the top surface down to the brass and put a bit of lacguer over the finish to stop it tarnishing. This was actually just gonna be a prototype because I knew I may have problems with the different coatings etc, but it is actually going to work out okay I think. I have a template for the top bit from another thread here. The gold sticky back plastic is really good, they have covered complete cars with it lol. The piece I got was only a quid with free postage off ebay. Cant get my head round that, the postage must have been more than a quid lol. I got some carbon fibre design stuff in gold as well, but it just doesnt look right.

It is totally stripped down Spikey, but will stick the buttons and electronics back in when I am finished

The Body Only one just comes in a small white card type box, Vamo size , no print on it.
