Nope, my top pops off with finger pressure, or you might have to use a pair of grips with a rag to protect the finish. The board then pulls out with a pair of long nose pliers and the buttons just fall out then.

Almost finished, undecided as to whether to put another compression joint olive at the top...................probably will, wont solder it though, bit of araldite should do it

I'm not sure what's rattled your cage Neil, but I think you'll find that ECF, UKV and every other vaping site will caution against stacking batteries.
