So yup as the title says its FUBAR, broke, faulty, not any good..... I have 2 brand new batteries and 2 old batteries (all fitting the VAMO, type: 18650.... no matter what one I put in, after 10 to 20 seconds of turning on it shuts down, does nothing.... You can be vaping and it stops for no reason. I have tried my Bulli A2 T heads on it, same. My Ego tank tops, same. My 510 Drippers same, my Vivi Nova same. So yes it is completely useless. I will be contacting the vendor in the morning (or rather later in the morning, thankfully it is a UK supplier) and I will be requesting a full refund. Not happy at all. and if they offer a swap over I will be declining as I am not happy with the product. So a heads up to peeps ordering, my one is nackered after a whole 48 hours of use...... and this is why I am not happy with buying Chinese products. Nuf said > > Quality all the way!, IE: spend the money for a GOOD product.

EDITED Due to over the top drunken rant last night after an exceptionally bad day at work, high expectations of the VAMO and a big disappointment of it going tips up.
Apologize to anyone who may have been offended, re reading it through I sounded like a right prat. But needles to say I have taken on board what you all have said and will be trying a new hot spring to see if that makes any difference.

Good luck with buying stuff that hasn't come from China.
You've got the Ferraris of vaping and that's about it.
The juice is getting better though, but good stuff comes from the USA as well.

I wouldnt mind so much if it was a case of swap over and it should be ok, but allot of people are reporting problems with the same as myself AND the buttons not working in SS version in mini mode and then the buttons not aligning up correctly after a small fall plus incorrect oHms readings and wrong VV readings. It is just summing my view up on some of the Chinese products. Don't get me wrong I am waiting for a JoyeTech eViC to arrive anytime soon but I know the JoyeTech have a fairly good QC. The thread on my Vamo is rubbish, their is marks on the unit and it keeps cutting out, which makes me feel like a prat for spending money on something that has so far given nothing but head aches. Maybe it is just the odd one out but as I said, spending £39 on a body with nothing else I would expect it to last at-least a month before giving in. PS: that is why I am using rebuildables (German atty) with a Provari mod from USA both are pretty bomb proof, my juice is from UK suppliers that use UK sourced pharmaceutical nic with UK sourced flavors and dilutents.

have you checked if the battery is secure in the vamo... some have a small spring that when you shake the vamo the battery moves and the vamo will turn itself off... meaning you will have to click the button five times to turn it back on again.... if this is the case just stretch out the spring or replace with a more manly one

I was very eager to keep this device, searched about online and all methods have failed. It has just turned into a device that I am not happy with and even if the "perfect" one appeared it has been tainted by the initial problems

So what you're saying, is that you are happy to buy from Chinese makers as long as they have a good QC? A bit different from your first post tbh. Maybe you need to reread it. Not having a go, but it read something differently.

No matter if the product is made in china or anywhere else in the world, if it's sold in the uk, you have your rights. Most products these days (not just ecig stuff) are imported and most are good quality, occasionally, the odd duff one does get through especially if it's a v1 device. The problem we are having as ecig consumers, is the chinese are trying to give us what we want at an affordable price and because we are inpatient, they are pumping them out as fast as they can and QC is being relaxed to keep up with demand.
Even joytech are not perfect. I would get another vamo, I doubt it will have the same problems.

I dropped mine once and found it was misaligned causing the battery to be just a little tight causing a simliar problem.

I think it's an overly harsh post Jake, if I'm honest (particularly the second one). No decent vendor will ever knowingly sell a customer a faulty product and I wouldn't have thought you'd have any problems. You only pick up on 'common faults' because they are the ones posted on the internet, whereas the majority of happy customers just remain quiet. All in all and based on our own experience (and I know it is early days), the Vamo seems to be a very good product on the whole (it absolutely knocks spots off the Lavatube for reliability/returns ratio), so I would of hoped that you'd have better luck with a replacement.

I'm sure you'll find it's the spring jake. I bought a couple of hot springs for my 2 vamos as I was experiencing the same problem. Been fine ever since.

When I first received my vamo I had a similar problem. I found that if I gently shook it I could hear the battery moving up and down, it seemed that when I moved around it was losing connection and turning itself off as it does when there's no battery.
I swapped the spring for one of my old LT's springs and it's been perfect since, not a single miss fire.
I've also found with my Vamo that the batteries last 24 hours, these are the same batteries that were dying after 6 hours in the LT.
I have to say that for me the Vamo is the best mod I've owned, I absolutely love it, so much so that I've ordered another one.

Jake, I've have a spare hot spring if you want to give it a try.
There was a slight problem with the first batch of SS Vamo's. I've bought all of mine from Jason and he sent me a replacement spring for the SS one as soon as the issue was reported on the forum. Not all vendors have done this and a few are still selling the old version.
It is a good device. I was a bit unsure of that link you posted to the one that you bought because it said it could only work in 18650 mode. Someone mentioned that in your original thread.
