Well one month & a bit on & I've notied that I'm short on breath today bit miffed about it I haven't touched a stinkie in ages and I feel well no cold or anything.

I just wondered if anyone else felt strange around the one month mark ??

Possibly just your lungs starting to clean themselves. They do that eventually as they disolve and clear out the tar that will be lying there.

Honestly, I have not seen any great improvement in my breathing.

What I have noticed is that because I sleep using a CPAP machine, my mouth does get very dry, which I put down to vaping all day.
I now sleep with a bottle of water beside my bed, so that if I waken with the dry mouth, I have something to drink.

A lot is going to depend on your lifestyle, the number of years you smoked, your age and your general health.

Whilst not quite at the Zimmer stage yet, I have smoked for over 50 years and so I have already done a fair bit of damage, so I am not expecting any great improvement in my health just because I vape instead of smoke.
However I have seen a great deal of other benenfits and these will do for me.

I smoked fot over 30 years and stopped december last year,been vaping since then,
although at times i miss smoking i can honestly say that if vaping was banned tomorow i would miss it more than smoking.
its now become a way of life and i love it and find i need to learn as much about as i can.one thing i will say i cant stand the smell of fags.

If they do ban it, I guess I can be stocked up for a year or two, then....

I suppose it's all down to how we personally feel about vaping. I know that I feel healthier. Whether that's true or measurable I'm not sure that I care, I FEEL better. That's enough for me!

I, like Moblee think this post is well worth keeping on the front page for the benefit of all newbies like me.
I know lots of people haven't got the patience to scroll through loads of pages just to find that one little gem that helps them.

I love vaping and all the interesting discussion that go's with it. I'm loving the fact that, I can go out on the ole mountain bike and can pedal harder and faster, without getting too out of breath. Not only can I polish me head, but....I can use the brasso on my new stuff, too.

I like how I don't have any guilt spending <on vaping> every time I notice my forum banner I'm reminded of my savings since quitting smoking ---- so I go shopping...
I tell you what, looking at my lovely vape box and polishing my tanks and meddling with my fantastic quality gear brings me massive joy...its a bloody expensive stand of stainless steel beauties... but least its a massive improvement on manky stinking ashtrays full of fagash/burnt money

health wise?... can't say I'm leaping about with renewed vigour with a newfound wonderful sense of taste/smell, but at least I have something to show for quitting the fags and a hobby that should keep me out of mischief.

I also seem to have accidently collected a social hobby with some real nice people with a similar interest who I enjoy chatting to on a daily basis. Oh this forum helps a hell of a lot!!! Do I sometimes miss smoking? yes - but I'd gouge out my own liver before paying £7 a day for it!!!
