Nope. I'd been battered from a particular driver from another depot about his ecig and after a couple of months I decded to research the subject. He was relentless, so I thought I'd look into it. Having looked around, and especially here, can't remember how I found here, but so glad I did, I went for an ego kit and have never looked back.
That was over 6 months ago, and the only upgrade I've got has been a couple of Spinners. Wasted some cash on juices that I did not like, but have now found one that I can vape all day.
My younger colleagues have tried the look-a-likes, but have not been convinced and gone back to the *****! It's obviously a peer pressure thing but I like to think they'll come around.

I was fortunate enough to find UKV in my early days prior to buying my first Janty Ego starter kit from Toby at ivapour , I got a lot of info from the guys over there at the time , doodlebug ( Kath Devlin ) and Crossbow (her partner) helped me immensley in my early days . I then found AAE-C and preferred to be a fluffy bunny

I started after curiosity got me by trying a (*cough*) Nicolite. I hadn't intended to stop smoking, but was so impressed by the Nico that I kept going and somehow decreased the analogues. I found this site through Googling for Nicolite reviews and bingo, Bob's your Auntie's bit-on-the-side. I volunteered myself over onto the Dark Side and am now clutching my pinky Riva as I type.

I still use a couple of auto cig-a-likes at work! They're very pocket friendly and I don't have to worry about clicking a button so many times to switch off before quickly popping them back in my pocket

I started with an Elites PCC kit then a 510 manual button cig alike.I didn't know ecig forums existed back then so i was vaping for around 6 months before i found the forums. My dad bought an Ego kit and i liked it so i grabbed one to.We used to call it the baseball bat as it seemed huge at the time :)As soon as i found the forums my vaping experience improved tenfold thanks to all the helpful advice i got from this forum. My spending also increased as my habit turned into a hobby.

lol Karma , I can't be arsed switching them off ... I want them to fire as soon as I put them in me gob I have some fantastic work pants that have extra "flap pockets " and the flap pockets have individual mini pockets that allow my pv's to sit comfortably without the button gettin pressed ( except on occasion i.e. whilst leaning against my ladder etc.)

I think thats something that most of us suffer from Ian , becoming hobbiests , if it wasn't for it becoming a hobby I'm sure my bank account would look much healthier

For me my interest was first fired at a cats protection BBQ would you believe, a lady there was vaping and it looked pretty good, she talked me through what she was using, dripping if I remember correctly and I thought, that looks like a good idea but a right faff on having to "fill" it every couple of puffs and I forgot about it, then while I was working in New York it was a right pain getting good tobacco and rizzlas and I also used to use filters so I had to go to specialist smoking shops for supplies, I saw in the shop a green smoke starter kit and went back to my apartment and did a bit of googling, made in the USA not china, worth a shot I thought, £80 quid it cost in 2010! And It was a total waste of money really, I flashed it about a bit after shows and stuff to show off but it tasted like crap and it was a complete lottery wether or not you got a hit of it or just burnt lungs! I never stopped smoking and ended up using it on planes and trains, eventually it went in a cupboard and briefly saw the light of day in 2011. This year I really was getting fed up of smoking and then I remembered the lady from the BBQ seemed to get vapour every time when she had a puff I also remembered her mentioning a forum with a strange accronym that I couldn't remember! After a bit more googling I found my way here and thought well this has to be the one! I asked you lot what you thought and ended up with a Vamo and some vivi novas, that was over a month ago and I haven't touched a rollie since 11:30 on the 2nd of January when my Vamo arrived. My cupboard is overflowing with juice, clearos, rebuildables, mesh, wick, wire etc!!! But I truly have no desire to suck on a rollie, non whatsoever! And for that I really must thank you all. Your knowledge has proven to be a massive shortcut to succes. I really didn't think it would last but it has and I'm sure it will. So erm ... Thank you and thanks again and thanks to the lady at the cats protection league BBQ!
Chris.

Started on been nagged by daughters to give up "stinkies", so I ordered a pack from `SKYCIG`. Bloody horrible, started smoking after 3 days. Joined the StopOctober campaign, and ordered the starter kit from ecig wizard, consisting of Ego 900 + clearomiser and 5ml of `fresh mint` juice. I was amazed, fantastic. Found AAEC on the web, now spent a fortune on gear, but "WORTH EVERY PENNY". Now have a healthy new `hobby`.

Started with a lookalike, as I HAD to have something the same size, I was very worried about going to a riva afterwards (had to move up as the cigalike wasn't doing it for me anymore) and it seemed huge to start with. I don't get when I give a mate a toot on my provari/LT with a pheonix attached, they cough and say it's really strong. While I know if I tried a fag from them, I'd think it was way way too strong (and horrible ). How can my ecig be too strong for them? *they all do this*

I started 4 years ago with a 901 , quite liked em really no button to press, went on to the 510 Titan, then the fab little Tornado battery's came out and I loved them, I bought one in every colour which was, Red, Black, White, Pink and Platinum back in the summer of 2010 and I still have them and I can still get some vapour from them . I now have ego's, rivas and ego Twists and a lavatube v4 oh and a couple of little vv passthroughs, all that in 4 years wonder what the next 4 years will bring Jules

great insight in to your ecig journey toon, enjoyed reading it. its appears the majority of us dabbled in ciggalikes to get to where we are, therefore in my opinion the increased interest of major retailers selling ciggalikes can be a positive thing towards steering more towards places like this, I also believe that they play a role in not being too harsh to 1st time users, like i said, several smokers found my set up with a dct too harsh and it had a negative effect on them towards ecigs. thanks for all for your input

Straight into a 650mah ego kit for me on xmas day 2012 , never tried the lookalikey thingys , a week later I bought a twist which I have in my hand now....Still experimenting with cartos/clearos tanks etc but love my little boges..... When my friends (smokers) have had a try they all end up coughing their guts like a trooper ha ha..... For me though I've never looked back or had a stinkie since xmas eve , don't know how but I can now smell a fag or even someone who's just smoked a fag from a bloody mile off.....!
