I have converted a few mates recently. These 5 things are the advice I give most frequently:

5 tips for peaceful vaping

1) Don’t over tighten any threads on your mod or atomizer – this is the fastest way to ruin your gear.
2) Don’t overfill/underfill your clearomiser/cartomizer tank – Fill to about 80% capacity and refill at about 20%. They both rely on vacuum pressure to get the right flow of e-liquid to the heating element. Too much or too little liquid in the tank can result in poor flow.
3) Keep cartomiser wadding moist – A dry cartomiser burns out quickly.
4) Change your batteries regularly – On rare occasions a battery can overheat if discharged too much. If your mod doesn’t have a battery level indicator you could just change your batteries by the clock, 18350 2-3hrs, 18500 4-5hrs, 18650 6-8hrs. These figures are for moderate to heavy vapers and low-end capacity batteries. If you keep on the safe side with battery discharge you won’t have to worry about whether your battery is protected or not.
5) Never leave your batteries charging unattended – Very very rarely they can melt and catch fire.

I've not been here long enough to have searched to see if anyone has mentioned this, and I also reckon it can't be told of too often, so here goes;

Responding to the OP's original advice I'd like to pay forward with a tip I figured out for myself so far. If like me you went a bit nuts and got an e-liquid in your first ever pack and it's simply way too strong and your vaping technique is too young to to have developed yet, then it is possible, on the CE4 Clearomisers (well on the copies I was sold) to insert a Swan "extra slim" filter into the base of the drip tip bit! This can hold things down a bit for you while you get something more sensible in place!

You need to squidge it a little in the sides to make it more pliable across it's width, but I found it will just ease into the hole in the base of that mouth piece. It's not that great and may not be a great idea anyway, however it's cheap and widely available, and in my view an awful lot more useful than having any hint of a reason to go back to stinky fags while the preferred solution is obtained!

Hope it helps someone new to it all, it's working that way for me right now, even if it does need changing pretty often!!

Hi all I'm new to vaping, I'm no expert but I would just like to make a coment to people newer than me buy cheap you buy twice I got clearomizer from ebay was copy of t3 kanger i new this by the price i payed but build quality was very poor seal went after 2days use and my lovely juice was wasted like I say I'm pretty new to vaping but every ml counts lol

If you're buying from a shop go when it's empty then the staff will have more time to answer all your questions as a nooby.

It is  important to buy your e cigarette kit from the right store as there are plenty of stores available on internet.

I haven't really read all through this post but my starter tip would be............ For a beginner vaper to try and have handy some carts and a small type of keyring battery as you will often find your self running out of at least one of these at a time you really need it. And if you are trying to give up smoking using these running out is not a good place to be.

My tip for anyone starting vaping but still having the odd ciggy is not to feel guilty about the ciggies you do have but feel pleased about those you have avoided and keep at it ... you will get there at your own speed.

In my humble opinion..........if your reading this you have made an excellent start on your vaping journey..
Research, ask questions, find a good source of knowledge, seek out similar people and support each other..
In other words tell others about US at AAEC and use the vast wealth of experiance to avoid the starters errors.

one thing I made a mistake with was buying tobacco flavour liquids to start with, now I know lots of people like them but the two I bought trial sizes of (reccomended by others) where horrible, the grizwald apple tobacco one I got the day after (from vapeescapes) was ACE, and the vanilla one was also a pleasure to vape, going into this I thought I would never bother with those fruity shisha flavours but I quickly learned they are the best thing about it!
