Anyone any idea how long it is before the taste buds return after stopping smoking? The reason I ask is that I'm now starting my fourth week as a non smoker and though I have tried various flavours I stll can't get even an inkling of taste from ejuices like Vanilla, Cherry, Apple, Grape etc. To me they all taste exactly the same I've just ordered some different flavours and I'm hoping that soon I'll be able to taste some of them. Anyone with the same problem?

Depends upon the flavouring strength of the liquids you're buying as well Dave, if it's a juice that the Vendor mixes themselves, it might be worth asking if they'd add extra flavour for you, if it's not an option given on their site.
So much of it depends upon you as an individual as well, how long you smoked for . . . it's difficult if not impossible to give a definitive answer.
I find by having several flavours on the go, it stops my taste buds getting too tuned in, if I vaped one flavour continuously I wouldn't taste anything in a very short space of time.

taste bud generally go awol around the month mark for a few days and then come back and work a whole lot better ...so you are kinda just at that point ...i would suggest getting some nice strong tobacco or menthol flavour ...you will defo be able to taste those until your taste buds recover

I used to think it was down to my taste buds that I couldn't taste juice. It actually wasn't. I just wasn't buying quality juice. Don't get me wrong though it could still be your tastebuds acting up if you have quality juice. I highly recommend. www.thealchemistscupboard.co.uk/If you like Menthol, Mentally Menthol is brilliant. If you like fruit juices the Apple & Blackberry is really lovely. Menthol is one of the best juices you can get if you can't taste much though.

Try GVC.. If you cant taste that then your taste buds are gone for good.

Been buying 18mg strength for all my juice. Not added extra flavour though, might try that next. Was a smoker for 40 plus years.

You're likely to find that a couple of things will happen. 1) the juices will improve with time. 2) your taste will change as well. If you find a juice is not very strong try steeping a little longer. Also before you discard any, just put them to one side for a week or two and then revisit. You will be surprised!! Also as Kev said the quality of juices you have makes a huge difference. Not all juices are created equal!

I went through that phase (smoked for 15 years) - the two things that helped me were steeping juices properly and direct dripping. Both made such a difference, could well be worth looking into?

Pretty much like me Dave, I was a heavy smoker for 36 years, I'm afraid the effects of that take time to stabilise . . . they did for me anyway. I wouldn't say that my sense of taste is as good as it could be, nor probably ever will now. I compensate by either mixing or buying eliquid with extra flavour. It's certainly worth considering.
