Yeah, that seems expensive. I never get charged more than 90p for sending 40ml of juice. Unless the woman in the post office fancys me and i get special rates or something.

The thing with royal mail is if the postage is under they add an admin cost to what you owe when collecting so the postage is probably only around a pound under!
