Agreed Hanow . . . you must have some pictures of your beautiful cards, amongst the other lovely items you craft.

Well now I wouldn't say I have any great talent at anything, but I do try to keep busy. This means I have done and still do many passtimes, in this list I have excluded things I did for less than a year and they are no particular order. Roleplaying, wargaming, novice web design/programming, photography (cameras knackered at the moment) woodcarving, carpentry, metalworking, electrical/electronic tinkering (which was mainly PC building/repair but I am now a beginner e cig modder), sketching, painting, filigree, moulding, model making (traditional and RC), some sculpture, pottery, engraving, etching (glass, plastics etc. ). Roleplaying is what I do most of and I didn't include DIY as that's just keeping things nice round the house as far as I'm concerned. I am very bad at drawing/painting as I can never seem to get things looking more than 2 dimensional - but the other craft stuff is 3D to begin with so that I can do. vereybowring.apathy.site90.com/Photos/Sunrise River Spey.jpg[/img]

I was a council street sweeper for three years, in some ways that was the best job I ever had. Only ever saw my boss once a month and could work at my own speed. Used to get told to slow down by "old hands", but since I had my own area I could basically do whatever I wanted as long as the basic jobs were done.

I don't have any skills so I've had to dream up my own LOL.
I decided 2 years ago that I would do all the things I'd not been able to do before I reach 50 next year. My first challenge was to learn to ride on 2 wheels, as never owning a bike as a child I hadn't really had much experience so I did my CBT and finally passed on the second attempt.
Last year's challenge was to learn to Scuba dive which I did and now absolutely love.
This year will be to get my Advanced diving certificate.
Next year will be my trip for my 50th which will bring me close to great white sharks at Isla Guadalupe.
Here's my current fav pass time

I'd love to learn to scuba. I enjoy snorkelling when I'm away on holiday. Not so keen on the mouthfuls of sea water when I dive! Last time we went away to Cyprus I was diving about 10 metres from the beach where I'd seen an octopus. It was about 3metres down and on my last dive a dinghy floated over me while I was down there. I looked up and just saw a huge black shadow and thought I was about to become lunch for a large shark. I looked a complete nugget thrashing to the surface in a state of panic! :-[ Nice to see you doing things you want to do with your life.

PMSL Lee, I can totally imagine. On my first attempt at Scuba I ended up unconscious after having a major panic attack, my second attempt ended in pretty much the same way. 20 years later I finally managed to survive the swimming pool and book on a 'discover scuba.' We got down to our 12 meters (had a few panics but nothing major) I was really enjoying the experience when someone made the 'shark' signal. I looked and there was the biggest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. After much spinning, thrashing and trying to run, swear and have a heart attack, I turned and noticed the second Bull shark about 10' away from me. I've never felt such terror in my life! LOL

I have my own engineering & welding distribution business having been in sales for 20 years and being made redundant june 2010 i always wanted my own business, but once you get used to a regular salary, pension, car & expenses its very hard to make the break, probably the best "kick up the arse" ive ever had. scarey at first but i wish i had done it 10 years ago
