Where does your user name and avatar come from and is there any story behind them?

My Username:roachie comes from back in the day when i used to smoke alot of weed ive been of it for 2 years after being addicted to it for over 13-14 years was on it from a young age.Im a tea totaler now

My avatar:comes from my fav series Twin peaks and my sig is a quote from the series.

My user name is a combination of my real first name and the suffix of my Amateur Radio callsign. When I was on the radio and there was more than one Jerry on the frequency, I was called JerryRM or just RM. I decided to use it when I joined the ECF and carried it over to here.

My avatar is a symbol of hope and rebirth. It is a phoenix, rising from the flame and ashes.

Like Jerry, my username is from my Citizen Radio days - many years ago!!

We had carpet shops at the time so my son became MagicCarpet Then when I joined (much to his disgust!!) I became MagicMother/MagicMa/Magicmadam.. Lots of fun.!! MM

Not CB, MM, Amateur (ham) Radio. I was a CB'er years ago, but I got my ham license and moved up. I had to pass 4 written exams and 2 Morse Code tests to get my Advanced Class license from the FCC.

Dee, find a picture that you like and I will resize it and save it on TinyPic for you. I will PM you the code. All you will have to do is paste the code in the avatar box on your profile page.

I will do this for anyone else who doesn't know how to put up an avatar. Just let me know.
