I have also got issues with RM that I have not bothered with only because they have arrived ( BUT ) a lot of it has been tampered with and it is so blatantly obvious it has, ie corners ripped off jiffy bags, very clean cut slits in parcels exposing what is inside, and this week had a parcel with 1/2 liter of PG swimming around inside due to damage, on a side note it maybe a good idea for vendors not to put business stickers on parcels just to avoid known possible contents of by scrupulous posties or other.

I agree with you there, Mybad, i'd prefer if businesses didn't put stickers on the parcels advertising what may be in there!

November 2003.
My partner had died 5 days ago. It was my birthday.
I had no cards through the post.
I wasn't in the mood to GAF really, until it became clear at the funeral that my family had sent me birthday cards, and others had sent me condolence cards.
Complaints from many of us to Royal Mail resulted in a letter exonerating themselves from any responsibility...
6 weeks later, some damaged cards were posted through my door. All the envelopes had been opened.....
Funny how they never managed to damage my bills in the same way.

But anything resembling a birthday card or a small package quite often looks like its been to Afghanistan and back? Hmmmmm...

I was amazed recently when I had a delivery of Base e liquid from USA (nicvape) it had a label with a full description of the contents, i guess this may be for customs.
Additionally I have had a number of deliveries where my mobile number has appeared on the label too!

I posted this over on UKV, so I figured I should post it here too:
Hey Guys,
Let me introduce myself as a manager at Royal Mail. I am willing to answer any of your questions or concerns. I can provide you with advice, and if necessary; swing my big stick around the organization for you.
Here is what I can answer about the video with certainty:
1- the employees at the Mail Centre(sorting office) are not targeting your mail. The time frame for sorting does not really allow for this. Also, we are not interested in anything e-liquid related yet(I'll let you know if this changes.) We are becoming interested in lithium batteries; unless your package needs to go on an airplane, there is no way of us knowing that it contains a battery. The only scanners we have are at airport distribution centres.
2- Your local delivery office may be a problem. They have more time with your package, and may be interested in what you have. Do contact your local DO, and do ask to speak to the Delivery Office Manager. They will follow up, and the IB(investigative bureau) may become involved. The IB take things very seriously, and finding a reason to dismiss and charge a postie is on the rise.
If you do not have any joy with the delivery office manager, contact customer service and ask for the contact info for the delivery sector manager(they are responsible for many delivery offices, and take issues much more seriously.) If you do not have any luck there, send me a PM with your post code and I will escalate the matter for you.
3- Our employees are not trying to steal your e-juice. I am the only member of my staff that vapes, in an office of 350. The probability of someone who vapes getting their hands on your package, realizing what it is, and jeopardizing their cushy job for £10 worth of e-liquid is unlikely.
4- I am not a customer service agent, but I am willing to help. I realize that our organization has built walls around itself, and I am working hard to address this community's concerns.
5- Maximum claim on a 1st class signed for is £42. If your package is worth more than that, send it tracked. We take tracked mail surprisingly seriously.
6- I have had several juice shipments go missing as well. I don't know why, but I sympathize with everyone affected.
