Hi to all,
I only recently started using the mini nova, which I absolutely love by the way..........(way better than the vision egos I used to use 6 months ago, in my opinion).
But, I have a couple of questions which have probably been asked before, but I can't find them.
First, how long do the heads last on average on these bad boys.
Second, can they be washed and if so how.
Third, I got three heads in the box and just started using the one that was already in the mini nova. I know they are different ohm's or whatever, but being a simpleton, I don't really know what that means in terms of vaping.
Fourth, are they rebuildable , which I'm sure they are, but how do you do it.
And lastely, does anyone have any tips they'd like to share with using these.
Thanks

Hiya,
The heads are all different sometimes last a day or two and other times weeks
Yes they can be washed....take um to bits and I use warm soapy water, then rinse and dry.......then do a dry burn.
When I first got mine I tested all the heads to decide which I liked best.
Yes they are re-buildable, you can buy the heads in packs of five.

Fourth, are they rebuildable , which I'm sure they are, but how do you do it. And lastely, does anyone have any tips they'd like to share with using these. Thanks I love the mini Nova too The life if the head depends on the ohms, voltage used, amount you vape, liquids used etc. I found that my 2.4 heads last quite a while 2-3 weeks, the last 1.8 I tried lasted a week and a half. They can be washed, unscrew bottom part, top part and then take the plastic cap off the head, metal nipple out, take the drip tip out of the top. Rinse the whole lot under hot water, dry, re-assemble, blow through onto a tissue and then leave to dry for a while or vape the water out of the wicks. Generally pretty successful although they never seem quite as good after washing to me.
(I know a lot of people dry burn but I'm not a fan, never popped an atty yet dry burning but I don't like doing it.) ohms are the resistance of the head, the lower the resistance the less voltage it needs to power it (in simple terms) put a 1.8 head on a battery and it will heat up quicker and give a warmer vape than a 2.8 head. But I've found LR resistance stuff doesn't last as long (runs hotter than SR or HR I guess.)
You take them apart and unscrew the head off the post including the plastic cover/metal nipple. Replace with new head and screw back on, 30 second job If you remember to tighten the head and not leave it flapping in the tank like I did lol
The only tip I can give is too make sure the head is screwed on properly. They sit tight to the top of the tank and when you unscrew the top to refill with juice it can also unscrew the head a little meaning they are a bit weak. So check the head is still screwed on tight after refilling.

Here you go Flipflot The instructions for cleaning start around 7:20 into the clip. He's showing a Vivi Nova, but it's the same procedure for cleaning the Mini Nova. I have never tried rebuilding so don't know if that part is the same for VN and the mini.

Thanks guys, very helpful. I especially like the video, very informative.
One more quick question tho.
I have some coil and wick left over that I used to use to rebuild the ego vision(stardust), would that be ok to use to rebuild this, or would I need an alternative.
Thanks again.

0.2mm wire will work, I use about 5/6 turns to get 2.2 Ohms. I find 2mm wick works best as well, some like a little thicker wick, but I find thicker than 2mm gets a bit strangled. But experiment with what you have. There's something quite theraputic about making new wicks for a Nova, very Zen like

I use four strands of 1mm wick with .20 kanthal Chris

Thanks guys, When the head goes on the one I'm using, ill give it a go with what I've got and see how I get on. I'll allways got the other two heads that came in the box if I screw it up.
I'm assuming from all the posts and threads I've read, that you can buy all of the parts separately. Any recommendations on where sells the parts. Thanks
