Well it looks from that last mail that they want to put things right, I think it was good that you started the thread on ECF. I've just stuck my tuppeny bit in and put something about the quality being substandard too

When they've examined them and agreed they are duff, I do hope they reimburse the p&p to China.

Clutter I suppose it depends on how long a life span they expect from them, if they've deliberately made them substandard so that they are more consumable then I doubt they will. I expect anywhere between 1 - 2 weeks constant use from my LR901's, I prefer them because they have a far better life than the LR510's. If Eastmall have decided that they need to have a shorter lifespan then they may not accept that they are substandard, if you get my drift.

Yeah, but the substandardness with that lot is that they don't work on all 901s, not just the duration.

I agree Clutter, although they did work on my SD after a bit of fiddling, the fact that I could get them to work meant they would have been useable if they didn't fail after a very short time Personally I would have hung onto them and fiddled if they'd have lasted long enough to make the fiddling worthwhile - If ya get ma drift! lolol

one of my mk2 SDs expired in the exact same way (as the american guy) using a batch one em atty, never did find out why it happened.
it totally collapsed the atty spring, which then fell out.
