Difference between 5click and 3 click?

Some are 5 click on and off. Some are three click on and off? Any one know if there is any difference in functionality or quality between them?

One of my three click batteries has EGO-T written along the side making me think it might be an Ego. Whats the difference between Riva and Ego?
