Thanks Dolly and Kev. No chance of me ever getting an iphone. The very look of them scares the daylights out of me. I'm hanging on to my little old Nokia for dear life. My sister got a samsung something recently and loves it, which left me a bit peeved cos I like her to think that I'm a lot more tech savvy than her - a bit on the style of a kid who can spell cat talking down to one who hasn't learned the alphabet. I am the biggest technophobe around Addict. Once i got my first iphone 4yrs ago I have never looked at anything else. I find it the simplest one of all i have seen.

I dunno Dolly. I only want a phone for calls and text messages and smartphones seem a bit expensive for that. I'll have to think about it. Hope you don't have to wait too long to get sorted. This thread has prompted me to change my ebay password. I hardly ever use ebay (only started since I got the ecig) but I have heard warnings that it's advisable to change passwords on such sites regularly. (Wonder how people remember all these passwords since you're not supposed to write them down.)

What a right royal PITA! Shame PP didn't make contact first, but they did the right thing to protect you. Put it down to another joy of t'internet, hey? Good that you're sorted as far as the phone & seller goes & Jason will be VERY understanding. Hopefully all will be properly sorted & you'll be a happy bunny....with new phone!

Hi Jess Yes, got message from Jason this morning. He wasn't at all bothered by it. Phone man emailed me too. Told me he had sent it recorded delivery and also added insurance for me free of charge. Very nice man.

I've only just seen this too Dolly, so glad it's sorted now I've used eBay myself for many years and was also part of a team that used to 'help' eBay out by doing a bit of investigating years ago before they made everything so darned private. Amazing how much information you could find about one scammer just through hacking into his main email account

A lot of the serial scammers were playing a game. One in particular put his password to his email account on a thread, from using that I managed to find several other accounts that were tied to it, idiot had used the same password for all his accounts.

what a knob lol Funnily enough, when i was looking for the phone on Ebay the was a seller, who i presume was female by her username who had made the section "ask seller a question" public. Someone asked whereabouts she lived so she posted her home address including post code and her phone number!! Open advert for every burglar, sex attacker and weirdo in the country.
