i know taste is subjective to the individual, but as a pointer to a newbie mixer can i ask for your thoughts on what percentage of flavouring you use? recently mixed Capella VC, Cherry and Strawberry and cream at 20% as recommended by Frogster (thankyou Kev)turned out very nice (although so sweeet, glad i didn't add any sweetener)now i have seen posts on the forum of people using only 2% or 5% using other brands. have got Capellas lemon meringue pie, tangerine and hot cinnamon on order to play with when the postie comes.
so the question really is as a generalisation what % do you use for a particular flavour range?
all guidance gratefully received,

Apart from a few STRONG tobacco flavours and adding highlighter flavours to add to a mix (for example a dash of Pie Crust for a light pastry taste)I don't know of any flavourings where 2 - 5% would be sufficient as a stand alone flavour.
In general terms anywhere between 15% to 30%, but everyones taste and preference is so different so you can not really say X% of a flavour is right.... It is a suck it and see game.

I would suggest you go to the Recipe collections in the mixology section.
You can get a rough idea from the concentrations of flavourings others have found that suit their taste

It really is impossible to generalize Aus, because of the factors that have already been said. I always lick a small drop of my concentrates, just to give me an idea of how intense they are to my taste buds.
It isn't a guaranteed system by any means, but it does give me something to work from.

I am pretty new to mixing myself but what seems to be the general consensus is start low with your flavouring and add a little at a time till you can find your 'sweet spot' Remember to write down exactly what you put in each mix so the the next time you should be able to go straight to your fav strength I bought a dripper so I can taste how they are coming along without having to keep filling and cleaning clearos....much better too cause you only need to use a couple of drops
