When I first started vaping I stuck with various tobacco flavours, and all went well - no problems.
Over the past few weeks however, I have experimented with more exotic flavours - pineapple/mango/amoretto/coffee/caramel/vanilla etc. and have noticed certain changes in my general health. The increased production of catarrh, the need to regularly clear my throat when holding a conversation, and the occasional 'tightening' feeling in my chest. This cannot be put down to the cessation of smoking, as I did that 4 years ago (i've been using NRT in intervening years).
I have also notice a slight film has formed on my car windscreen (I drive a lot) - most noticeable with oncoming car headlights at night. This leads me to wonder about the effects on furnishings within my house - surely it cannot be as bad as tar pollution was from tobacco, I sincerely hope not!
Has anybody else had similar experiences (concerns)?
Sorry to produce such a negative post... I did not intend it to be - I am a great exponent of vaping.

Could be too high VG! Can make you a bit plemgy and cause a bit of a film on windscreens etc!
It doesn't worry me, not nearly as dangerous as all the chemicals in ciggies.
However, if you're having a tightening feeling in your chest you probably should get checked out by a Doctor!

Something I forgot to mention is that my wife complains that she can smell the vapour when I'm not on tobacco flavours. (she does not smoke or vape, and is a bit 'anti').

My house smells of cappochino caramel when I've been vaping that! I quite like it, smells like a posh coffee house My husband could smell the Swedish Fish I was vaping in his car the other day, he said it was quite pleasant!

I agree with Karma, if the vg content is too high I get an increase of phlegm. If the pg content is too high I get a bit of a tight chest. I find 50/50 suits me and absolutely no problems at all if I vape a menthol

Hi, Just after Christmas I started to get very phlegmy and by the end of Jan had to go to the doc. He did a quick check and told me my chest was clear even though I had a coughing fit while he was testing me. He sent me for a chest Xray on 4th Feb but I am still waiting to see him about the results ( Bl@@dy receptionists) The worrying part is that I got another letter from the hospital asking me to go for another Xray. I finished the course of antibiotics but the phlegm has come back and I wake up every morning needing to clear my chest but the first few coughs are agony ang I have to give myself a very tight bearhug to stop the pain. It takes me a couple of hours of coughing and spitting to clear everything but if I spend all day in front of the TV or on the laptop my chest is full again by teatime and I have another hour of coughing to clear it. I have an appointment with my doc on 6th march with an Xray straight after. I'll get back with any news asap. Phil
