Those of you that use PB for hosting your pictures will know that they've upgraded their system. Apparently my ' free ' bandwidth has been exceeded . . . in order to be able to have more, you're now required to make a monthly payment. Which I refuse to do, so apologies to anyone whose avatars I'm hosting, a number of the recipe formats that I'm also hosting have been blocked as well. So . . . anyone know how to do a bulk delete on Photobucket, or do I have to go through 900+ images individually and delete them one at a time to get my used free allocation down. PITA.

I don't know how to do a bulk delete sorry. I hate it when providers "upgrade" and you end up far worse off. It's always about money

The ipad app hasn't been working right since the last upgrade Could you open a second PB account under a different email?

If you go to your library and click on the "Organiser", you can select multiple photos by dragging a box over them and delete the selected all at once.
Or:
CTRL + click to select / deselect specific photos.
Click on the top photo then SHIFT + click at the bottom one to select the lot.
(ie, the same way you'd select multiple files in a folder in windows)

In the old PB, you could copy and paste pics from it to somewhere else. I can no longer do that with the new PB.
Anyone know of a similer type of website to the old PB?

I couldn't upload pics to PB before the upgrade, so had given it up as a bad job. I now just use tinypic.com/?t=postupload to post things on here, it's free & easy & you don't have to sign up for it.

Perps, just a thought, but instead of going through & deleting various bits on your account, why not get a freebie email addy & then open another PB account using it. You can keep it purely for AAE-C then, in fact, you could make it an Admin bucket account that you all share access to for forum stuff.

I could Jess . . . I've about 4 different email addresses, but then I'd have to reupload pictures to it, assuming I haven't deleted them from my Pictures. Then, I'd have to find the threads & posts and re-paste all the links. It's mainly the recipes in Mixology I'd like to preserve, so if i can get my bandwith used down, then they will all reappear. Then I'd open another PB for any new pictures I post on the forum. Sounds like Kuro has found a solution, so I'll play with that this evening. I'm only a teeny weeny bit over. * Stamps trotters *

Perps, stop stamping your trotter, you'll hurt yourself. Chrissie's got the answer, just bide your time.

Hmm, even if she waits for the monthly reset, the amount of stuff she's hosting may cause her to hit the limit again fairly quickly.
Maybe time to ask people whose stuff you're hosting to use their own PB account for the images?

I'm guessing the main problem is the recipe format images that are the main problem as they will be getting a lot of hits & are most likely pretty big?
