Hey all,
Was gonna post this earlier but been busy.
Don't know if any of you's read my post about pain with my lungs...well i had to see my GP early this morning and the results are in from my bloodtest and scans.
My GP babbled on with all these long words so i asked "In English please" and he replied "Oxygen levels from using electronic cigarettes maybe causing the problem, as when you sleep your lungs slightly shrink and the airways can become swollen"....and then he babbled on again (zzz)
So i said any long term effects, he replied, don't know as we know very little about electronic cigarettes.
Then asked what can i do, he replied, stop using them or decrease how much you use them (never)
I had a inkling it was vaping as when i used the Vamo through the day the pain when asleep was bad but when i used the Ego-Twist i got no pain.
Hence my reason for selling the Vamo as the vapor was too intense for me to carry on using without getting pain
Good news is i have>>>
2 more Ego-Twists 2 more AGR2's 1 Viva tank
All on their way to me from the sale of the Vamo
So bad news can turn into good

Did your blood tests show that your oxygen levels were lower than what's considered normal?

Sorry to hear your news Romelee, interesting as I have asthma and emphysema, and my lung function test was better than it has been for years and the doctors know I vape as they said vaping is better for me than smoking. Have you by any chance had a chest infection lately, I take chest infections pretty regularly and thats when my breathing is not as good and get pain in my chest because my lungs get over worked.

Ever thought about using a CPAP machine for when you are sleeping?
I have been using one for 3 years now and they are wonderful. I wouldn't dream of going to bed without it now.

Pernicious anemia or normal anemia will affect the amount of oxygen in the blood! I'm not a medical expert but can't help but think your doc didn't really know what he was talking about today

I told my consultant last week that I was vaping now & he encouraged it......I don't think the medical profession really have looked into it to be honest, but they need to blame ailments on something....Before, everything was always blamed on smoking.

I think the medical profession just don't like saying 'I don't know what is causing your symptoms'

As Karma said if you are anaemic then you would have low O2 levels.I think hes not got a clue whats going on and wont recognise the fact. That said,i would be careful just incase.I cant see the vapour having much to do with the lack of O2,if it were tobacco, then yes i would agree as they pump out loads of carbon monoxide and Co2,CO does displace oxygen from Heamaglobin, hence you die from CO fumes.

I'm no medical expert but it's known that warm moist air does tighten airways as found in humid countries and saunas. Did you try vaping at a lower wattage? The Vamo will run a lot hotter than the Twist ever could and keep pumping it out at levels the twist would start to slack off. To me it stands to reason that the Vamo was set too high and giving vapour that was too warm, that could cause constricting of the airways causing your lungs to strain more to breathe.
Like I said not an expert opinion but it's feasible form what you've told us.
