I can remember being in Hospital as a kid in the 70's and my uncle sitting next to my bed puffing away. Those were the days....

Yep I remember when I was in hospital, Around about then had a pretty nasty asthma attack. And a couple day's later I was still in bed the nurse comes up to me and says would you like an ashtray as I see you smoke.

heheh My work used to have ashtrays on the machines, they were baccy tins - everyone had their own. I remember smoking in a cinema and on coaches and trains (at the back of course!) Back when it was 67p for 10 L&B I think, oh and then 7p for a box of matches and a few pence for a packet of Polo's because I thought that would mask the smell from my folks

In the 70's we used to have ashtrays built in to the Radar consoles and could smoke there. God knows what it did to the equipment.
