A very posh SD,want one.I loved the SD, but my main gripe was the button that kept working itself loose, hence it had to go I would love one of these mods, very well done Graeme.

Thanks for the comments. Dont know when and hate to say 'if' it will be complete 100% mechanical the way i want it but will keep you peeps updated. If i do get it the way i want it then the one with the light will be available at a cost of the torch and postage only as it has been used as a prototype but still looks like new.
Ian did you have a fix for your SD button? My SD is doing the same regardless of how tight i did it up with the scredriver. I didn't want to use lok-tite but put some PTFE tape on the thread and it hasn't worked itself loose since. Anyone who doesn't have PTFE tape could use some cling film which should also do the job.

Doh,it peed me off so much that i sold it a while back.I wish i had thought to put some tape around it now as the vape of the SD was very good.I would like to buy another some time but not paying tw@ts prices. If i could get one with an 18650 extension and 510 fitting that would be my ideal.

I havn't had time to complete it 100% mechanical yet but it's easy to make it with a mech switch and the light as in the picture if anyone wants but will take a few weeks to get them to the UK.

Graeme, your new mod (new to me today because I'm so late coming to the thread) looks like my dream mod - a Screwdriver with a decent battery Besides being lovely looking (IMHO) and comfy looking, I've got used to the end-button on the SD and it's extremely scylla-friendly. But constantly changing the batteries because they don't perform at full throttle for very long, drives me nutz. Re the LED - I've come to the conclusion that an LED somewhere on an e-cig is to be desired, because it eliminates one source of non-performance when one is trouble-shooting. If the vape totally dies but the light's on, you at least know that it's not the battery at fault. Depending on events between now and the availability of your mod, I may well be asking to buy one. Only trouble is, I'm at rock bottom so I may have had to buy something new before then Congratulations on sourcing such a nice looking "thing" *EDIT* What would be the "holes for a lanyard" situation? How could I have forgotten that??? scylla

Theirs a wrist lanyard scyl so it could accommodate a neck one I suppose
Theirs a little plastic clip that lodges between the bottom button and switch swell to stop it firing

Any idea yet on a price for these? The naked version is very nice. Also do you know if the metal used would be easy to engrave?

Still no price yet but probably around half the price of a silver bullet but will be able to confirm in around a week or so. That would be for the model with the light and mechanical switch. I'm not jumping into this until i continue to try for a 100% mechanical model. I can make the one with the light if requested and i could add different couloured lights to suit what people want.
