Just read "E-cig central thread" posted by djs which prompted me to Google all about e-cigarettes. Near the top was a link to Nicotine in electronic cigarettes: 10 facts all users should know. Now this could just be a ploy to get people to click and buy products from the site but it could be worse. A common ploy of hackers is to set up a site labelled "10 facts..." the reasons are that it is proven that people are drawn to click on such links and it is easy to find 10 facts so that the site doesn't seem suspicious. Malware, Spyware or viruses can then be downloaded onto the unsuspecting user, sometimes directly from the site sometimes from a link on the site.

There are millions of 10 reasons pages on the net because humans like things neatly summed up and are drawn to them like a moth to a flame. 99.9% of them are legit, but as said would be a good point to inject malware into ads or even set up a rogue page to deliver malware. Using the Internet without up to date anti virus is like dripping without juice... It's going to end in tears.

Me too and if you bank online with Barclays they will supply Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) free for up to 3 computers. My daughter banks online with them so she just gave me the access code that allows me to have full KIS for nothing. I have always used Kaspersky and used to pay £40ish each year.

You peeps do realise thay 90% of review sites on the net are there just to make money. Me included.
You then join forums and help people out and then direct them to your sites. Works a treat.
E cigs is the only area i do not do it with.
Just bear that in mind when you go looking for reviews. 9 times out of 10 they are reviewed without the person even having the product and sentences are lifted straight from the produc sale page.

Rosco, you trying to ruin my part time business? I've also been in affiliate marketing for years, don't make a fortune because I'm basically lazy, but you're right, most of the review type sites are just affiliates... like a poor version of comparethemarket.com. I was going to go for the eCig market early last year when it started to grow in the USA, even got the names, but then found this forum and suddenly got a conscious and have done nothing with it. Also agree about getting a decent anti-virus on your devices.
