tbh the bar is so incredibly low, the fact they didn't say e-cigs ate my dog and gave my fish cancer marks them as almost friendly lol

Considering the inflammatory title you used I am really angry that you spent practically no time discussing the subject.

As is usual in the sensationalist media you either didn’t do very much research or worse ignored it.
The fact you’re addicted to nicotine was being pushed more than anything else which is very sad.
I am a long term user of e cigarettes and knew from the start I would still be dependant on nicotine and yes if they all went away over night I would be faced with a problem. Likewise as a caller said if all the caffeine went away many people would struggle.

At the end of the day you decided to do a quite slanted approach just to get a quick buzz, which you succeeded with.
You mentioned John Britton and his statement and since he is far better placed to have a valuable opinion than your hack show do you not think the negativity you went with is harmful to those looking for an alternative to smoking and those of us who still enjoy nicotine in a controlled and healthier way. The media complain about the nanny state and then pieces like this are done where being a nanny and naysayer is the only objective I can see. Any reputable seller of these devices will explain to a prospective user all about the devices and answer questions freely. Shame the media seems ill equipped to also ask questions and get the answers from experts and users.
At least Anne Diamond had the sense to see the positives immediately rather than firmly being sceptical.
Matthew Wright is ill-informed and far from promoting healthy debate is just in it for the attention.

None of the TV appearances have yet featured a clearo or any other devise that you fill up yourself.
The caller tried to talk about his Ecig and was talked over, If they are not supermarket friendly they aint going to show.
Another good advertisement for cigalites and corporate refills, why hide the more popular fill your own devises ?

On the whole I didn't think it was too bad and even raised some pro e-cig points, although without Lee calling in I think it could have been a very different story.

The American guy (didn't catch his name) was so anti-tobacco he couldn't see beyond the fact that cigarettes killed his mother to realise that if these had been around years ago his mum might still be alive.

I just wish we could get past the "BUT YOU'RE STILL ADDICTED!!" hysteria.

This whole addicted to nic thing does my nut in.... SO WHAT!!! Is it that much of an issue?. If so stop selling ciggies and stop selling NRT. Then tune into the TV a few days after the ban to see the bloodshed on the streets.

I am sick of being told what I should or should not do or what I should or should not be addicted to. Its only because I smoked that I use PVs and the only reason I still do is because I am hooked on the NIC but what harm does that cause anyone else or myself? not a fat lot. Grrrr I could go off on one.

I have a feeling that the hundreds of comments on their facebook page made them back down a bit from the original angle that they had planned (judging by the title of the piece).

Hopefully it might encourage some smokers to go on to google for some more info, and some of them might even end up reading a bit of AAEC and learning the truth. Lets hope so.

How many comments on FB/emails were pro ecigs? I bet around the 80% mark, yet the 2 they showed were both anti.

Who cares what they think?, i don't. I think the issue isn't who vapes, who doesn't and does that change who you are? the issue for me is the type of people who feel the need to debate things like this, i'd prefer to go about my business and not get wound up about other peoples thoughts on the matter.

Its too easy for people to hang about on the phone, internet, tv show and spurting out opinions, they won't say anything in real life so i just let them be and let them have the issue instead of me, i wouldn't bother getting stressed about it, might lead to a nicotine craving...

In the real world none of it really has impacted on my vaping etc, i think we need to separate peoples opinions for the sake of having one to participate in some meaningless show, to peoples reactions in the real world. All these shows do is give a spawning ground for peoples opinions that they won't really share anywhere else.

Who on the panel drinks caffeinated hot drinks? Really is no need when decaf tastes the same, are they caffeine addicts? is coffee evil, the only people who would care are those who don't drink caffeine, and only because its something they can gloat about or preach to other people. It must be a pretty boring life being so perfect.
