Hmm. 3mm about £1 per mt. then with shipping paypal fees and customs doesnt look like there is a great deal to be saved. I agree - my rough estimate is if you bought 200m of the 1mm or 2mm and add all the likely costs up it would work out at about £1.20 per metre + UK postage. For all the hassle involved it hardly seems worth it. I guess most of us have got reasonable stocks of silica anyway and I'd guess 5m would last me for a year or so.

I agree Dave but I dont really want to spend £10 on2mm. and £10 on 3mm and end up with 20mt. Which is why I thought a few packs split between a few people, we cold end up with 2.5mt. of each for a tenner plus the split postage.

I just bought a metre of this for £1.34 delivered which is a lesser amount of money to risk if it turns out to be no good.

Not sure about this one the question is what is the one we buy from vape shops originally used for or is it specially made for ecig use.

I recon the ones we use are the same stuff they use to platt the big diameters used on boilers and furnace's. The ones we use do give of fibres if you let them get too dry, It good to give them a good sharp blow before you wet them and keep them wet. Im holding off to see what simons verdict is but it will have to be a damning review to stop me ordering a few meters.

I got my ecigwizard silica "rope" today.
The 2mm looks perfect. The 1mm seems to have some knots in it.... ???
Either way, it's NOT the same as any wick I've had before....fingers crossed.

Maybe the knots are to stop it fraying.

It's more like a defect in the braiding process I think Si, a strand hasn't been threaded in properly so there's a little loop/knot at regular intervals along the length. But it should still be usable.
