I'm using this on an Innokin iTaste ... ecigforlife.com.au/ce6-v4-sring-clearomiser-clear-color-first-in-australia-2013-model-mid-wick-best-flavour-profile-ever/It has a mid-length wick, and I'm wondering what the difference is between wick lengths. I'm also finding that the juice leaks out through the mouthpiece if I lie it down, which is a bit of a problem, because it doesn't really like standing upright. I double-checked that I'm filling it the right way, and I think I am. And, yes, I know that you need to screw the mouthpiece in after you've pushed it into the end (initially I thought this might be the problem). I'm getting a burnt taste when the liquid level is below the wick as well, so here I am, back on the trusty boards and looking forward to all your helpful answers Thanks!!

A short wick means you have to "swish" the liquid around in the tank so that it comes into contact with the wicks. Maybe you could change the way you hold your iTaste when you're taking a draw, hold it so that the end furthest away from your mouth is higher that the mouthpiece or at least the same level so that the juice comes into contact with the wicks.

Swishing is the answer Art as Des says to avoid that burnt taste . . . I find it's second nature now with anything ' wicky '.

So if I didn't use something with a wick, what would I use? (Please excuse my total newbie ignorance)

So if I didn't use something with a wick, what would I use? (Please excuse my total newbie ignorance) Everything has a wick artfunk that the wire heating coil is wrapped round - the problem is getting the juice to it The clearomisers you are using have the coil at the top so the wick hangs down and soaks up the liquid so you have to make sure the dangling wicks stay wet. The alternative is to get something like a Kanger EVOD which has the coil at the bottom, so it is easier to keep the bits of wick that stick out into the tank covered in juice. The other possibility is to use something like a cartomiser - these are stuffed with an absorbent wadding that you soak in juice and that in turn feeds the wick.

I'm getting in the habit or trimming wicks on Vision Rainbow/V3 clearomisers. I find they don't wick that well without swooshing around the liquid so the way I see it, shorter wicks means less wasted juice when it comes to dismantling and better swooshing. Without "encouraging" the liquid around the clearo (up to the wick/coil), you will get bad vapes quite soon. I fill mine to 1.6ml and top up on about 0.6ml. It's worse with these than Mini Novas...the e-juice seems to go sticky/gloopy much sooner in a Vision clearo.

weird..I never had any joy with long wicks, got loads of dry hits, Cut the wicks down as i read somewhere and never had a problem since.I wonder if its because you swish? that way the juice would be straight to the top of the wick.

It probably is down to the swishing Neil . . . as much of a habit as flicking ash off a cig now.

All usual, you guys have ALL the answers. The next best thing to ditching the cigs is finding this forum! I think I would have given up vaping if I hadn't found AAEC, so thanks to everyone for their support and knowledge.
