I'm on my third itaste in six months. The first one literally fell apart after about a month. My partner managed to put it back together for me, but it's now officially dead. The second one started to boil the ejuice all by itself as it sat next to me on the table, and the third one is still going strong, though I think the battery charge is diminishing. The first two I bought from a local (Australian) supplier for AUD80 each, the third one was half that price from China - the Chinese one had been by far the more reliable. I recently tried to buy a couple more, but the supplier was out of stock, and I get antsy if I only have one battery, so I ordered a couple of Joye EGO-Ts as back up. I much prefer the vape from the iTaste, and I'm going to try just one more before I reluctantly give up on them. Maybe I'll try an Innokin MVP?? I'm about to trawl the boards looking for any EGO-T tips. I'm getting that burnt taste if I pull too hard, so maybe they'll just end up being my emergencies. I was out the other day when my iTaste died, and my spare was at home. I caved and bought a packet of cigarettes and I'm happy to report that I found them utterly disgusting.

And one more thing ... The swishing is a revelation! Up to now, I've still been having a couple of stinkies a day, but now I know that I should swish, I reckon they'll be GONE!! Thanks again!

All usual, you guys have ALL the answers. The next best thing to ditching the cigs is finding this forum! I think I would have given up vaping if I hadn't found AAEC, so thanks to everyone for their support and knowledge.

So if I didn't use something with a wick, what would I use? (Please excuse my total newbie ignorance)

I'm using this on an Innokin iTaste ... ecigforlife.com.au/ce6-v4-sring-clearomiser-clear-color-first-in-australia-2013-model-mid-wick-best-flavour-profile-ever/It has a mid-length wick, and I'm wondering what the difference is between wick lengths. I'm also finding that the juice leaks out through the mouthpiece if I lie it down, which is a bit of a problem, because it doesn't really like standing upright. I double-checked that I'm filling it the right way, and I think I am. And, yes, I know that you need to screw the mouthpiece in after you've pushed it into the end (initially I thought this might be the problem). I'm getting a burnt taste when the liquid level is below the wick as well, so here I am, back on the trusty boards and looking forward to all your helpful answers Thanks!!

My Innokin arrived! I think I'm going to be very happy with it. So now it's time to get serious about trying some different flavours. I like the minty ones, but am yet to find a really strong minty juice. Any suggestions?

Hi roscopecotrain, I got the smoke coloured one, I think. I was just looking at a video about it and it looks like it's square rather than cylindrical. Just received notification that it's onboard with the driver, and am resisting the urge to stand outside waiting for him (in my dressing gown). I'm going to try refilling my Ritchy cartomisers as back up, but if that fails, and I love the Innokin, I'll probably get another one as my backup. From what I've read, the Innokin battery should last the whole day (the Ritchies conk out after about four or five hours), so maybe backup won't be so much of an issue. Mind you, I'm finding that I vape a LOT more than I would smoke a cigarette. Can't decide whether it's because I can do it anywhere, or because I just plain like it.
Anyhoo, once I get the new toy fired up, I'll be back to share my comments. And thanks again for all the great advice.

Thanks for all the advice.
As to the e-cig situation here in Aus, it isn't legal for vendors to sell products containing nicotine, however, some sellers will "give" you some nicotine in your juices if you have a quiet chat to them when you make your purchase. Others point you to China. I haven't looked into buying nic juices from China yet, but it's something I'll do soon. Anything to keep costs down.
I spoke to a vendor today and he recommended the Innokin iTaste so I ordered one. I want a Riva 1100 but can't find a vendor in Aus who sells them. Will look overseas and see if I can find one that doesn't have exorbitant shipping. My Innokin should arrive tomorrow, so that should keep me sorted in the short term and I'll be able to do some shopping around.
No doubt I'll be back soon with more questions. It's such a lovely community here!

Hi Freestyler, Just had a look, and it looks good, but no shipping option to Australia. Will see if I can find a retailer here. Thanks for the advice, though, I really appreciate it. Margie

Hi everyone, I've been vaping for a couple of months now (still having the odd stinky, but want to dump them all together). I started with a pair of Ritchy ERAs which you need to keep buying cartomisers for. I'm now ready to move onto a more serious unit, but am flummoxed as to which one to choose. I've read a lot of info here, but a lot of the jargon enters my brain as "blah, blah, blah" - my problem, not the posters'! I'm looking at this ... ecigforlife.com.au/ego-flagship-complete-twin-set-with-lcd-screen/this ... ecigforlife.com.au/ego-ultimate-complete-twin-set-pass-through-battery-upgrade/and leaning towards this ... ecigforlife.com.au/ego-v-v-starter-twin-kit-with-easy-click-variable-voltage-adjustment/Adjustable voltages, rebuildable clearomisers etc mean very little to me. Basically, I want to be able to charge it up, fill it with juice and go. I'd really appreciate any advice about the units I'm looking at. Low, to no maintenance is what I want, without compromising the vape quality. Help!!! Thanks a million, Margie

Thanks everyone. I'll keep at it and keep reading the posts and hopefully become a first class vaper.

I've just spent the last couple of days browsing and lurking here, and now I've joined. What a nice lot you are. So much helpful information for a vaper on training wheels. I've been a smoker for more than 30 years, but am ready to give the filthy things the flick. My OH bought me a couple of Ritchy ERA ecigs for Christmas and I've just gotten around to firing them up. I'm in Australia and the purchase of nicotine products that aren't cigarettes, cigars etc is illegal, but some ecig retailers are happy to "give" you some nicotine with your purchase. When I tried my ecigs with non-nic juice I had no problem using them, but of course, there was no happy "hit" Now I have some cartomisers with 18mg of nicotine in them and I find that the first few puffs just about choke me, and a serious coughing fit ensues. So, friendly experts, is it a matter of just persisting, do I have a terrible product, am I just doing it wrong? I'm still smoking cigarettes, and am trying to vape to make the need for a cigarette come further and further apart. I would love to hear from some experts! Thanks.
