Once you have had the time to play with it and get used to it then maybe it all becomes apparent , but as this was my first stab at it and seeing what I saw, then maybe you can understand my confusion and slight frustration with it, but I worked out the figures given was in the ball park anyway, but even saw quirks or flaws are not good for a new user.


And I do hope that any newbie reading this post is not put off using EJMU due to reading about this little hiccup I have had with it.

I have to admit, I go for 100% VG and have just changed all the flavourings to default to VG for simplicity's sake - I know what I'm vaping is more like 80% VG but I just don't really care that much! But yes, once you get your head round it, it's surprisingly easy

No, it is correct in what it says, try it on another calc, you need more PG.  The best ration you can get with this is 77/23

Not a flaw, the calc is correct.  I have just tried the required recipe (as posted earlier) and 4 different calcs all agreed, more PG is needed.

Negative PG values usually mean you have too much PG - it's telling you that you need to take some out in my experience. Can you post a screenshot?

The pop up hides the values on the calculator, so a screen shot would be of no use, just pop these values in and see for your self.


1 nic base 100% pg @ 54mg

2 target nic 36mg

3 amount 5ml

4 flavor 100% pg 10%

5 target ratio 70/30 pg/vg

6 calculate.

The problem is there is not enough leeway to dilute 54mg to 36mg using 100% PG Nic and a target of 36mg. Plus adding 20% PG flavoring.
If there was a bigger gap in the Nic strength and Nic Target strength it can be done. Or... change your Target PG/VG ratio.

If you find a calculator that can do what you are asking, then there is something wrong w/ the calculator.
