thinking of having ago at mixing my own

thanks for any help advice in advance 

i am thinking of mixing my own juices but i haven't got a clue were to start i have read up but don't understand it i am thick lol

i buy a juice called ice mint at the moment that gives that cold feeling on your throat as you inhale it so i would like to make something as close as possible around 10 to 12 mg of nic in it if possible 
also any ideas how i would make a red bull type juice as the wife loves the ice mint and red bull mixed 50/50 

so what would i need and were from and how do i do it bearing in mind i am thick hehehehe be gentle with me please

Hi Paul,

You really need to get your head round the basics before you start mixing, whilst it isn't hugely complicated, it does require a little more than just sloshing some flavouring in a nicotine base.

My suggestion as a starting point would be to have a good read of this excellent pinned sticky, compiled by Ash & Roger and some of the other threads on this Board.

Oh, that's where I've been going wrong LOL. Seriously, Paul, it really isn't too difficult once you have mixed your first couple of recipes. I started thus:


30ml 54mg/ml Nicotine Base
100ml PG base
100ml VG base
A selection of flavourings

a couple of syringes, a 2ml one and a 5ml one.
Some empty bottles (any excuse to have a vapefest to clear out the dregs!)
The ubiquitous kitchen roll
IMPORTANT - Nitrile gloves to wear whilst handling the nic base - it is a poison!

A copy of E Juice Me Up calculator - can be found here EJMU

All these items above can be bought from Vape Escape - there may be other sites with slightly better prices, and others offering a larger selection of flavours, but you can at least get all the starter kit from here. Other sites I have used are Leisure Liquids, Post Modern Smoking and Alchemist's Cupboard

I started with some White Chocolate and Blackcurrant flavours from Decadent Vapours, and trialled a 10ml mix using the flavours at 10% of the total each. This came out surprisingly well, and spurred me on to make my own Vanilla Custard. I have since gone into partnership with a converted mate of mine, and we have just received our first joint order with enough ingredients to make up about 300ml of juice!!

Give it a try, it really is worth it and a bit of fun - the only limit is your imagination!

Andy are you sure you meant base, or dilutants?  (PG/VG) as base is Nic liquid.  Don't want to confuse the OP further.

You can also buy ready diluted nic base, then all you need to do is experiment with flavours! That's what I did in the beginning

If you bought this at 14mg, once you added your flavours it would take it down to around 12mg

thanks everyone for your comments and advice plenty for me to think about i got a while to read before i start as just found out i may be moving in as little as 2 weeks really looking forward to that lol so will wait till i have moved and got sorted out before i start
just another quick question Karma put the link to the ready mixed liquid that just needs the flavour put in and i have seen people useing menthol crystals so would i just dilute some crystals into the liquid or would i be better getting the menthol flavour liquid

Paul, LTEcigs do a nice red bull flavouring (called Energy Oxe) that I've mixed up and myself and a couple of others have found rather nice, got quite a sherberty kick just like the drink

hi gun jack i have seen that one am really thinking of getting the liquid that karma linked too and then some of the energy oxe flavoring to put in it and now you have said how good it is i defo think that will be on the shopping list lol

Yes, it is as straightforward as that Paul . . . you can either add the crystals to a nicotine base, or you could make your own concentrated Menthol solution by dissolving them into some straight PG, then adding that to your base. Menthol is quite potent, so a few crystals go a long way.

that sounds a plan to me then i have some crystals for when the wife has a bad chest so i am half way there already i love the cool feeling you get after the menthol
