Hi Folks I have a Riva 1100 Deluxe set, and so far have been using cartomisers, until I settled on a juice. Well, I settled, its the Stealth Juice(With cooling) for www.juice-kitchen.co.uk A flavourless juice, which I really like. So I thought I would fill up the clearomiser. I filled it up, letting it settle and then started using it, and all seemed fine. A few hours later I took it out of my pocket, to see it empty. That's weird I thought, but assumed it had soaked right through, and this might be normal. So filled it again. But the same thing is happening, and I have discovered that it has leaked out. The drip tip seems very loose, and is opening slightly in my poscker and the juice is flooding out. As its only 1.6 ml, I am not feeling it. I like the convenience of the clearomiser, as it is easy to fill, but not that I am loosing all that liquid (I am a pretty low user, and only use about 1-2ml a day, so I have lost a couple of days worth today!) With the carts I leave the rubber stopper on the end, and just uncap it when it comes out of my pocket, but with the drip tip being so loose on the clearomiser, even with a cap on it, it is coming undone and leaking. Is there any clearomiser out there that have a screw in leak free drip tip that will fit the Riva? I could go back to carts, and live with it, but would rather find a solution if possible. Any advice welcomed! Thanks Phildo

Phildo - have you double checked the drip tip screws in properly on this one you have? If you have a CE4, it won't just push in. They don't normally leak out of the drip tip, unless you've lost the thread or something weird.

Just under the threaded part of the drip tip there is a little white plastic washer. Make sure that is there and then when you screw the drip tip on, that washer seals the top of the plastic tube to the drip tip.

After your comment, I went and searched for a video about the clearomiser and saw them turn it.... Tried it, and seems to have fixed the problem.....what a dolt I am! I will keep an eye on it over the next day or too, but it does seem to be the solution. Thanks! Just as a follow up and slightly related topic. It feels to me that the carts offer a better throat hit than the clearomiser. Does anyone else find that? Does it heat up more? Or perhaps the lesser amount of liquid makes for better vapour and throat hit? (Its the same juice, so can't be that)

Glad you are fixed....I wish I could say the same, just managed to fill a similar clearo and the drip tip won't quite sit tight on the atomiser head and now it's full of vapour.... I find clearos and cartos do vape a bit differently, I've always felt a strong tobacco juice in a carto turned up on the voltage is just about the best for hit. Weird, there's no wrong or right, just what suits you. I vape on clearos 99% but sometimes just need a carto.

I find cartos give a better throat hit but clearos have better flavour. Not so much a problem when you have flavourless liquid I guess Regards Jez

I don't like cartos as much as clearos at the moment: - I find clearos a lot easier to fill
- I can see how much juice I have left
- I can give the clearo a shake/roll if the wick goes a bit dry with funky taste
Could change in the future, as its an organic journey we're all on. I never thought I could manage without 'tobacco' in the morning, but still not had any tobacco juice. Anyway, phildo, hope your clearo is still not leaking now you've got it screwed in properly.

Glad you got it sorted, and be thankful it wasn't Banoffee cream leaking inside your poket, I get a drip of that on my hand and can smell it for the rest of the evening!
So kudos on the flavourless!

Glad you got that sorted Phildo I prefer the taste and draw from cartomisers To avoid having to top up the carto all the time I usually use a carto tank, or for out and about I sometimes use this, sort of a huge cartomiser www.vapeescape.co.uk/510-echomisers~197

I prefer carto, but to avoid filling all the time, I keep around 10 going for each of my favourite juices. Do a major fill and I'm good for a day or two.

Flavours vary immensely from device to device. I've tried several tank type clearos and only found a couple I really like.
I'm currently using a Rainbow v3 and an iclear 30. Both are working well with virtually no spitting. These two are both rebuildable, which is nice.
Carts definitely hit the spot harder, but it's short lived before you're topping them up. You're also replacing them daily to keep the flavour up.
