PG sensitivity

I've seen a few of you mentioning that you are sensitive to PG. What are the signs of PG sensitivity?

Not to sure collie, but I have noticed in this last two weeks since staring a new bottle of pg from tw, that my chin and areas around my mouth have started to come out in a rash type thingy, not spots, just like a wetish type bump, keeping on top of it with antiseptic type cream.
Thought about trying to cut down on the vaping bit decided against it, I will keep the cream going. Might try some vg eventually but still have 200mls left of pg plus the rok star burns better with pg.
Are you having any effects yourself?

For me it's a red itchy rash that can be on my scalp, in my ears and on my face and neck  . . . it didn't develop until after 18months of vaping either.

Though the symptoms can vary for different people, like many sensitivities.

VG heavy mixes keep it in check though.


It's not always PG that folk can be allergic to, certain flavourings can also manifest similar symptoms.

Well I was convinced I had a problem with VG

But I tried many combinations and now I am certain its PG

Got the same Red itchy rash as Perps mentions over the last 2 /3 weeks

So I mixed up a 90% Vg juice and the red itchy scalp is going away.......

Also it could be just stopping smoking.....even months after strange things happen.....

I developed chronic dandruff after two months off the "logs". I have never suffered with dandruff in my life so I started using head and shoulders (no good) then T Gel (no good) so I went to see the doc. He says that because my skin is getting so much more in the way of oxygen and nutrients, it is replacing itself more frequently than it would have done when I was smoking and this was promoting the dandruff.

Should this be removed? You never know the EU scouts might start saying they cause fatal rashes!

I don't think so Donov, there are loads of threads on various forums about PG sensitivity as it affects a percentage of vapers. It is a known allergy in any case.

in the last week or so ive started to get spots on my back and i have never never suferd from this quit disturbing realy but every wher i read its due to stopping smoking i realy dont want to take my shirt off in summer now i will say i have never realy drank water and when i go to the loo it is verey strong smelling every one dose keep saying on hear maybe i should start if only to detox my boddy

I was starting to think that I'd gone allergic to PG as my face keep breaking out in raised, dry red patches/spots. Now having a fair amount of PG heavy juice here I was a bit concerned.

So, before I decided to ditch all this juice I went and bought some Simple products to replace all my creams and potions. Since swapping to only Simple products this week the rash/redness has gone

Moral of the story is, don't jump to conclusions. PG is not the only substance in our homes that we can suddenly become allergic to!
