4 weeks and very disappointed

my partner has never really smoked, just the odd one in his youth when he was inebriated apparently. must be nice to be so perfect eh............

well, time for a cuppa and a refill of my magic device. hmmmmm.....doubt said partner would still be around had i not had my ecig to help control the cravings and moods.

i didn't mention it to him so he could say 'well done, pat on the head' etc, i just mentioned it as it dawned on me it had been a whole 4 weeks and i was really pleased with myself.

The main thing is that you should be proud of yourself because its some achievement, you deserve a round of applause and a pat on the back unless his name is Pat then you just tell him to get off.

I find it hard to believe someone (a non smoker) would prefer the smell of a rollie to an ecig. Sorry fred, my wife loves the fact I now vape.

Mrs Fred is an ex-smoker, and I have EVERY respect for her giving up, cold-turkey, especially considering I was smoking at the time.


She has realised that I have spent FAR more on vaping, than I would have on smoking, in the last month, and this is an issue.
What she doesn't consider, is Im playing the long game - in about 3 months, I'll break even, and then for the next approx 15 months, vaping will cost me nothing , as long as I can lock the ninja away.

So, as long as I am 'in debt' to vaping, every 'stoopid politician style' comment will be pulled out of the hat.

Once I've broken even, I'm sure she'll start appreciating that it's better for my health, I don't stink like an ashtray, I'm saving money, etc, etc

I truely believe it was one of those flippant comments, and can understand she finds 'Gummy Bears' sickly, but surely not worse than stale-ashtray.
Just not the garbage comment we need, when we're so proud of achieving something we've not managed  to do sucessfully before.
Funny thing is, she makes no comment about kiwi-mix, chocolate-cream, espresso, and more. ???

Should I go next door, and 'borrow' a rollie to see if she really means it?.........

Funny one that really. People tell me I've given up. Though I kind of think I still smoke, well vape whatever. As for his comments they are just wrong on every level. A short sharp kick to the goolies is in order.

Vaping is not smoking - according to my doctor and my dentist I have given up smoking!
More significantly you will notice the health benefits in yourself.

I wish my wife was around to see me not smoking. She'd have found it incredible.

But she isn't around: she died in 2002 of small-cell lung cancer after smoking from the age of 16.

Don't you dare be deflated floop . . . couldn't you just thump your nearest and dearest on occasions.

You've done incredibly well, as has anyone who has made the switch to ecigs. Massive congratulations to you for your no mean achievement.

Oliver . . . my brother and only sibling, died at 44 of a massive cardiac arrest . . . his chronic smoking habit a major cause.




I'm sure he and your good lady are looking down on us, well chuffed, amazed and delighted.
