So, got myself a vmax but have a problem with it. Was fine to begin with then it started showing lo and the button flashed,so stuck the batteries in the charger. When light went green, stuck them back in the vmax.
3 puffs later its showing lo again and flashing button. Put them back in the charger and the light is green.?!?!
So would the problem with the batteries, the charger or the vmax? Got some new batteries coming but won't be for a while.(fast tech order)

You could try cleaning all the connections with isopropyl alcohol. I couldn't believe the gunk that came off my batteries!

Sounds more like the problem is with the atty.

it came with a vivi nova so thats what ive been using. got an adaptor coming so i can use other tanks with it. will give it a clean and see if that helps.

ok cleaned the contacts worked for 2 puffs then flashed lo again. tried my other nova, same thing.

could well be the vivis as it seems to work with no tank on. the battery says6.2 volts so theres power there. just doesnt work with the tanks! will wait til i get the adapter and my new mini vivis and try it again. weird cause its been working no probs for days now.
scrap that as its doing the same with no tank on! argghh!

Could you try to lift the centre pin of the Vmax a little just in case the attie is not making good enough contact.

Yep did that still doing it. Given up for the moment and stuck it back in its box. It can come back out to play when it behaves itself!

Did you get 2 caps with it Dibby? If so are you using the shorter of the two . . . just in case you're getting an intermittent battery contact with the wrong cap?

No perps only got the one cap.
Got it from china as the main reason was to check the resistance of tanks and for home use.so light use really.
Might change the charger as I have to use an adapter for here in France as it won't fit in the socket. They sent me a European charger(2pin) but don't think they realize that the plug sockets here are recessed and not flat.
Will wait til my new batteries arrive and try them.

It`s probably not relevant, but I got one recently and had to stretch the spring, it kept going off very quickly

Well put it away in the box last night. Tried it again this evening, she has decided to play nicely! Bloody thing! Lol
