I think Dolly means 50d My DD is 14, she knows its pointless arguing with me as it doesn't work. Wish I could say the same about DS, he will just say "Mum said I can". Daddys Girl, Mummys Boy, 14 and 10. They are both so very different to each other. I just hope they have a better relationship than I do with my brother, I can't remember the last time we spoke.

Teenage girls do that thing where they ever-so slightly cock their head and ever-so slightly raise their eyes - it's hard to describe but if you've seen it you'll know what I mean. It is a look of total and utter dismissal that males can't achieve, it must be genetic.

My two lads had their differences when young, but are now so close. Is there anything you can do Moggy to patch things up with your brother? The longer it goes on the harder it becomes, and you're both probably missing out on each other's lives. This is advice from an amateur... but life is so short... and the older you get, the shorter it becomes!

Kids need boundaries and (both) Parents have to stick to them, even though my ex and me split when DD was only 4 my ex and me made this pact and it worked great. DD tried to play one off against the other a few times but soon gave up when she realised it would not work She's now 28, got a Masters Degree and runs her own business and just last week got engaged to her long time Partner. I am one PROUD Dad

There isn't really any animosity, we just live very separate lives. Thinking back, the last we spoke was at our Nanny W's funeral about 12 years ago. I'm 41 and he is 43, there isn't any age gap to speak of. He hasn't seen his niece since she was 2, and has never met his nephew.

My daughter is 15, nearly 16, and in the midst of GCSEs at the moment. She has her moments, but on the whole is great fun to be with. She kayaks with me, time permitting, and enjoys playing music and cricket, but not at the same time. She is however my wife's daughter, confiding and gossiping like only two women can do. I feel hopelessly left out at times, but I guess that's a Dad's role! I can't wait to be a Grandad, or whatever I will be designated - it all sounds so good, and hand them back when you've had enough! Andy

If she says it again, send the pancakes and ice cream my way Dolly. poison or no poison doesn't matter I'm not fuss. I like that story. Pocket money use to be £2.50 in my day, I would hate to think what it is now. I had to work for my pocket money £1.50 for hoovering and dusting the house, it was enough to go and rent a VHS video from the local rental shop (and they used to let me rent 18 films at about 12) heheh!

My boy is only 3 and we've got another due in Oct so I've got everyone's troubles to look forward to My son is just like me, stubborn and stubborn oh and pretty stubborn lol But he's a good natured kid, a real Mummies boy so far but he's started taking a lot more interest in me now and he copies everything I do even hand gestures and things I say - which is quite flattering in a creepy way lol I always thought I was going to be like my Dad, hard but generally fair but it turns out I am a total softy (not to say he hasn't had an almighty bollocking on the couple of occasions he's pushed me too far) but I'm a much calmer Dad than I thought I'd be. Mind you at the moment at he still weighs less than three stone so I can pick him up and move him to where I need him to go - won't last forever I'm not quite sure what's going to happen when I ask him to do something and he says No and he's bigger than me lol

I am childless at present and have an option to give up a nursing career if I want a little one of my own (i'm a very broody 28 year old man). What I do remember is that when I hit puberty I was a nightmare, drugs, booze, crime, girls. Even spent 28days at the NHS pleasure when I really hit the fan. Example Thats horse cac After a couple of sections, home made rehab, and meeting the woman of my dreams I am happy to say Im still on the meds, been with the wife for 9 years, anphetamine free, t-total and actually building a career. So to those younger parents just remember sometimes its just a phase and all you need is love. PS my nose was always that big, Like a hawk baby YEAH!! Regards Jez
