Thanks womble. I have notified the committee, and at the AGM take 2 there will be a vote, just like there is for every forum rep.

I am currently the treasurer. I know I haven't been vaping long, however this is something I enjoy and thought I could donate an amount of my time for ECCA. ECCA currently are looking to be a go to organisation for consumers. We are also going to be putting an amount of effort in fighting the EU and MHRA and generally getting the facts out to people not in the know. We have gone though a small overhaul recently and since then the new committee are ploughing alot of time and effort looking into ways to make it easier for consumers on a number of levels. We have a new forum, and a new website soon to go live. As everyone agreed the current one is well, a mess! Unfortunately I can't say much more at the moment, but I can assure you that things have changed massively behind the scenes and we would welcome anyone who will be able to help. Now I know most of the views around ECCA are negative, but hopefully in the coming weeks you will be able to see that a new ECCA has been born! Thanks for the response Its nice to have things explained Maybe regular updates on this forum would be good. . . Just so we all are up to date with what ECCA are doing So many organisations at the moment. . . .ECITA/ECCA/ETC..... It all gets very confusing ECITA is a trade association, ECCA is a consumer association.

Thanks womble. I have notified the committee, and at the AGM take 2 there will be a vote, just like there is for every forum rep. As I have just said to you via pm, I'm happy to take on the role, but I also want it to be open for others to apply.

If anyone else would like to come forward also then feel free. We can either have a straight vote between you 2 (or more) either on here or at the AGM II or we can look at other roles you could do within ECCA. If anyone would like to put themselves forward, or wish further information or interested in any roles, please open a new ticket here www.eccauk.org/support/ .

I think personally it should be up to you guys as well.
I don't think putting yourself forward should be enough. The rep would be putting all of AAEC's views to ECCA.
So one persons views could be compromised, I know many people would see this as a silly point, but it isn't. Our whole forum views are at stake here.
While I would try to do as good a job as I could, I also recognise that I may have views that may spill over to my reporting of your views.
It's up to you guys, I guess you've all read views I have had in the past, so if you are happy (or not happy) for me to represent you within ECCA (presuming they take me) then either stay silent, or complain (or run yourself).
I'm not worried to hear criticism, I know I'm not perfect by a long shot, but I do take things like this seriously.

OK, I've put myself forward, please don't hesitate to put yourself forward just because I have, ECCA and this forum deserve the best, so if that's not me, I'm happy about that. Thanks for stepping up womblebtw do we know when AGM mk2 is to be?

I'd like to say that Ithink Womble would be great as a representative for our forum
He has the ability to argue on our behalf and we should take advantage of it.

Totally agree with Sootie, Womble would befab! Was considering stepping forward if no-one else had, but with everything else going on atm I'm glad he has, and that he is somebody I trust! Shame about Marks though, he was really passionate about it!

Would someone please explain to me what the letters E C C A actually stand for and what aims this group is trying to achieve? I'm guessing Electronic Cigarette Consumer Association & concerning their aims this is the CASAA site casaa.org/so something along this lines, a united voice for the consumer ??? I would also support Womble for the new AAEC rep, lot of common sense & no BS IMO
