I don't think I want a replacement really, it looks like I could do much better for that price. I don't really trust the goods when they are not working so soon after buying, especially two of them. I suppose if it is just the charger it isn't so much of a problem (apart from paying over twice as much as it is worth), but if it is the actual devices I will definitely be looking for a refund. This will teach me to do my research and not impulse buy things! Been there done that mate, as have most of us here i would have thought. There is a whole load of topics on this site that will answer pretty much anything you could think of to do with the best kits and value for money (cheapest).

I shall have a good look around here before getting anything else. Thanks again for the help everyone. This is proving to be an expensive smoking weekend, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. Back to 10 motives for the next day or so!

Hello & welcome Upright So sorry to hear you have been ripped off - that is certainly one vendor that wont ever be given vendor status here Please take it back & demand a refund.

Oh dear. Cyber-decency stops me from expressing how I feel about this particular company. However, since it's not working, maybe you can get a refund. That would be a great result. Good luck.

Sorry you were ripped off. Word of advice if you go back for a refund. Don't mention you can get it cheaper elsewhere otherwise they will try to weasel out of it by saying that's the real reason for taking it back and may get funny about it and refuse.

^ agree, just say you want a refund as you don't trust that kit any more.

upright if your not sure about your rights check out the 'SAD FART' guide www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/consumer-rights-wallet-printIf you bought it as a kit then it's the full kit you want a refund for not just one replacement part, & remember at this stage your dispute is with the place you bought it from, not the manufacturer, so don't let them fob you off saying they'll have to send it back for testing before they can give you a refund. If they try getting sh**y don't argue just tell them you'll go to trading standards & if necessary you'll either ask your bank to do a charge back, or you'll see them in small claims court, usually works a treat.

Are you pluging into the mains or through a computer USB, if I try to charge mine through the USB port on the computer it doesn't charge but if I use the mains plug that came with it it charges fine. Just a thought.

Yep. some of those buggers don't charge through an USB port, try the mains plug. Otherwise make sure you have everything packed as you bought it and claim no less than a full refund with the vendor. Then get your card(s) loaded with funds and start online shopping

I tried my laptop first, but then used the mains. It doesn't work on either, but thanks for trying to help!
I already did some shopping online, lots of goodies arriving soon! I got a Riva1100 which seems to have pretty good reviews for a beginner.
