Just now wondering about where the major UK suppliers get their atomisers from- are there many manufacturers producing them or do the bigger factories just print the UK supplier's logo on them? I regularly buy what are sold as 'DSE901' atomisers. So far have used different suppliers with products looking(internally)/performing/lasting differently ??? So, which UK supplier sells the best regular 901 atties in your experience- any recommendations please?!

Hi Beepsie I cannot answer you. I haven't bought any 901s from the UK for a long time, because we've been getting them direct from China via Perpy's bulk orders to Eastmall.com, and the last lot were from Greenhouse One cos they were cheaper. I think that if you buy from TW, they have a more consistent supply than some. Jason of TW actually went to China a couple of years ago. Similarly TECC, their sister company, tho they were selling a different type from TW, the last time I ordered (ages ago ). I reckon that many UK vendors get what's cheapest at the time of stocking up ??? Some members will prolly know better than I. scylla

I've been pleased with the DSE901 atties I bought from Liberty Flights. They are made by SLB who are a manufacturer in China.
The East Mall 901 atties didn't last very long in comparison.
I'm pleased enough with the LR DSE901s I bought direct from Health Cabin in China to have made a reorder.

The last batch we had from East Mall were sub standard and most have been returned. I'm waiting on my order to arrive from Green House One to see if they are the same as the previous ones I've had from them. It's been quite interesting to note that since we had the bad batch from East Mall a few UK sellers have not had LR901's on offer - could be just that they've ran out or it could be that they've had the rubbish from East Mall too

Beeper from what I have learned in the past with Asian manufacturers is that they put out a fantastic product to get the business, once they've got it they then have to 'compete' with more and more cheaper manufacturers. This then leads to substandard goods being produced. So it may well be that a someone who currently sells the best on the market in the UK could become shafted with their next supply. It's crazy that they appear to be doing this already (East Mall) when this is still a very small but rapidly growing market place

They are all (with the except of specialist stuff like Bulli A2s) made in China. If you are interested in "901" atties see this: ukvapers.com/blog/9/entry-22-about-mini-atomisers-and-carts/Atties are "mainly" made by Sailebo (SLB/DSE), First Union (RN), Best eCig (BE) I think the best current "901" atties are the SLB/DSE ones like LF sell (for both regular and LR)

Nice blog Prof, still doesn't explain the last lot from East Mall They didn't fit the SD's and when we got them working they had no power and packed in after very short useage. If there're only a few companies manufacturing them in China then there's a good chance that any one of the main UK suppliers could have been hit with the duff lot. The one's from GH1 have LR901 stamped on the underside. The duff ones from Eastmall were unmarked.

There are some cowboy operators in China who rip off other more reputable makers - I would be suspicious of completely unmarked atties (but wouldn't rule them out either). You can see in my blogs that mainstream stuff is almost always marked.
I've used a wide range of 901 threaded stuff over the years and not had anything that didn't screw onto an SD (trog's threads are bog standard 901/4075 threads) - so I'd be iffy about buying EM stuff again myself.

Prof they did screw onto the SD just didn't connect unless you put a pin inside the centre hole and pulled it down slightly. This in itself is quite concerning to me as I would have though the metal shouldn't be so soft that you can adjust with a pin or in my case, a cocktail stick!
I've just tried moving the connection on the Eastmall 510's and it's as soft as anything, you can adjust it with a cocktail stick. I've still got one of the original 510 atties I purchased nearly a year ago and you can't move them, there is a massive difference in the metal.
I have to wonder if EastMall aren't making all their own?

Hmm, I thought that Eastmall were wholesalers/retailers rather than manufacturers. Someone will confirm/correct. scylla

David Yang did buy a factory with the specific intent of producing the LR510's . . . . the January order we did, the LR510's were actually made by EM themselves.
Whether this is true of the last batch of LR510's we had, is another matter.

It would be interesting if someone has a LR510 from the January order and another LR510 from prior to that (any manufacturer) to check how easy it is to manipulate the connection part. I'm pretty sure that all my older atties are not easy to move, these EM ones are.
When I fire up a new atty I normally get a harsh fiz and crack, with these EM ones they're more like standard atties, there's no fire to them.

I get my 801 carto's from Eastmall and have about 200 in all, of the 60 I've used already I've only had two dead ones.

Tbh Griz, up until this last order, there have been no significant issues whatsoever with any Eastmall atomisers, certainly none that I'm aware of. It's very sad that they have mucked about with the quality/design of them.
